I come to College Station frequently for work and this is my 2nd visit to McAllisters's in a month. It greatly exceeded my expectations both times. The food is great quality (got the New Yorker) and the place is immaculate. But what blows me away each time is the friendly and attentive service that I just don't expect from counter order reataurant (or most sit down restaurants, for that matter). I was checked on immediately (to see if the order was right) and again...

I had the Italian and my wife had the chicken club add turkey, both were great! The potato salad was great as a side but the mac n cheese did not have any major flavor and the noodles were over done.
