As a vegetarian I was excited to find a place with food options that I could eat. We ordered the, VEGAN TENDERS & FRIES, VEGAN CHICKEN & WAFFLES. Sad to say I was disappointed in all of it. The tenders were to spicy. My kids couldn’t even eat them. The fries had no flavor to them, also a small kick to them. The waffle had an after taste of yeast.

Food was great, the potatoes were seriously amazing. Plenty of close parking, and we sat on the patio which was comfortable and cute.

I always wanted to try this place so I went today with a friend. The atmosphere of the restaurant was really cute and clean and there was a good amount of seats both inside and out but the first thing I noticed was the staff were so nice and welcoming! As for the food, I got the Mess Breakfast with turkey bacon but subbed the waffles for French toast, and added a side of fruit. The food came pretty fast and it looked amazing. I excitedly jumped in on eating it and it was so delicious that I didn’t even realize that there were waffles on my plate instead of French toast. I mean these waffles were so fluffy with just the right amount of crisp on the outside. Delicious! Some of the other reviews on here made me nervous about getting waffles as they said the French toast was better, but I’m really not sure what waffles they ate, definitely not these ones! With a restaurant with waffles in its name, it better (and does) have good waffles! Yet one of the waiters realized the mistake and he brought me a whole side of French toast. Thank you! Now I have leftovers for tomorrow morning and I couldn’t be happier. The rest of the plate was wonderful as well, down to the softest eggs, yummiest potatoes, and the freshest fruit - even the maple syrup was great. I could see myself coming here again and trying the Nutella waffle. My friend enjoyed the cookie butter waffle and a coffee. She said it was surprisingly a good cup of coffee! The only reason I deducted a star (I would only deduct half of one if Google would let me) was because I think the price was a little on the expensive side. That being said they do give you a good portion of bacon!

Mess Waffles never fail!! The key lime pie waffles are always excellent!! I saved a bite for the next day, and after heating it in the oven, the taste was still great!! Mess Waffles are the best to me in College Station!

I have heard about this place for a while and have been watching to try it so I finally went with a few friends. You order at a register then they bring out your food to your assigned table. I got the Nutella waffles with strawberries and a side of potatoes. The waffles were delicious and the perfect amount of sweetness. I will say it says on the menu syrup is an extra $.90 but I just asked for it at the register when ordering and they added it to my order for free. In addition the potatoes were not for me. They were heavily fried it was hard to eat them because they were pretty heavy for me, so I ended up giving them to my friends to finish. I know my friends loved them though so if that is your thing definitely get them, I just prefer pan potatoes not fried. I would definitely come back again!

Waffles were stone cold, server seemed as annoyed as possible when we asked for butter, they completely forgot my gf's drink and the server was again very annoyed when we asked for it. Idk how a waffle restaurant gets waffles wrong.

If you're looking for a spot in College Station that serves up creative, crave-worthy comfort food, MESS Waffles is a must-try. From the moment you walk in, the vibe is chill and welcoming, perfect for a casual brunch or a quick bite with friends.
The star of the show is, of course, the waffles—and they do not mess around. Whether you’re into sweet, savory, or a little of both, there's something for everyone. I tried the Chicken and Waffles (spicy), and it was an absolute flavor bomb. Crispy on the outside, fluffy inside, and perfectly seasoned.
Portions are generous, and everything feels made with care. Bonus points for the friendly staff and the fast service—even during busy hours, they keep things moving without sacrificing quality.
Prices are reasonable, and the menu is adventurous without being over the top. If you're in College Station and haven’t been yet, you’re missing out. Highly recommend it for anyone who loves a good waffle—or just good food in general.

Good food experience. I wish chicken was cooked a little lighter or fresh oil was used. Overall, the flavors were good, the vanilla coffee was good, the hot coffee was good, the OJ was good
The overall experience was good

The chicken was amazing! Got the dirty spice level and it was delicious with a nice kick. French toast was also delicious! I ate every bite. I prefer the French Toast to the waffles because I prefer my waffles fluffy, and they do crispy waffles.

Today was my first visit to Mess Waffles, and I really enjoyed it. Service was good and helpful, and I got recommendations for my next visit. I ordered the chicken and waffles, with a side of mac and cheese. The chicken is probably one of the best pieces of chicken I have ever had in my life. Perfectly cooked, juicy, the breading is phenomenal! Waffle was nice and fluffy. The sauce they give with it was very enjoyable with the chicken and waffle. The mac and cheese was great as well. Next time I visit College Station I will have to come back and try this again, as well as the dessert options.

Our first time trying MESS .. The wife rated them 8/10! She didn’t like the syrup and the waffle wasn’t “fluffy” enough. Although She did enjoy the chicken .. saying that it was well seasoned! I myself felt the same way about the waffle but overall I’d return and try the Nutella French Toast… Today I had the Mess Breakfast and it was a fulfilling portion.
