I got the strawberry french toast and while it tasted amazing, I had to give it a four stars because it was very expensive in my opinion.

Had lunch here with our son and a couple of his friends on Saturday. The place was extremely crowded and buzzing as only a college town joint on a weekend can be.

The food can only be described as some sort of attempt at fusing cafe food, spice soaked chicken, and waffles, all into a plate-able combo. Some combinations are decent, but others like the chicken served on a bed of french fries is a disaster.

Err on the side of caution with spice levels. Since the spice seems to be some form of powder randomly sprinkled over the food, there's no consistency. It can range from mild to simply inedible.

Service is decent. With the kind of crowd, it's tough to manage peak hours. But you won't mind given the general vibe.

Food is amazing, but significantly understaffed and wait times are ridiculously long. Waited in line to place order 30 minutes (got in line inside door) and takes 30+ minutes after order to get food. Get better Mess!

I recently visited Mess Waffles and left quite disappointed. The food was just okay—nothing to write home about—and definitely didn’t live up to the hype. What really ruined the experience, though, was the service. It was incredibly slow, and it felt like the staff was overwhelmed and unprepared. They seemed panicked and confused, which made the whole dining experience feel chaotic. For a place that focuses on waffles, I expected better both in food quality and customer service. I won’t be returning anytime soon.

This is one of the best breakfast places around the college. I like their ambience, food and service. All the items prepared are fresh and you can feel while eating.
It’s not expensive and their mimosas are good.

I tried this place for the first time as an outsider after hearing my Aggie friends rave about how good this spot is. I tried the chicken and waffles (level 2 spice forgot the name) with their mac n cheese and french toast. I've been to Gus's, Hattie B's, and more and unironically this place might have the best fried chicken I've ever had. Perfect blend of flavors nothing too heavy and it was so damn juicy. The mac n cheese was also probably some of the best i've ever had. Coming here right after making the 3 hour drive from Dallas was the best decision I could've made. Just relaxing and enjoying the amazing food.

Only "con" is that the line is slow moving but definitely worth the wait.

Everything is very delicious but I think it is a little expensive and they should add meals that they make for later in the morning like the up cluck

Best chicken & waffles I've ever had. Haven't been to college station in a while but still think about it so I decided to write a review because it deserves all 5 stars!

Absolutely love the brunch and Chicken and waffles are to die for, however someone else will have to enjoy them as we will never be returning to Century Square where they are now towing vehicles.

First time visiting. Our food came out separate, waited 15 minutes in between various people plates. Had to.ask 4 times for missing items. Never got a fork so 3 people shared 2 forks. They didn't clear tables and staff could care less. It was busy and we were patient and in no hurry but ridiculous service. Some tables seemed to get food out fine.
