Mong Chon Grill—Taste Of Korea

Loved our visit to Mongchon! The atmosphere was clean and comfortable, and the servers were so friendly and attentive. We ordered the squid bokkeum, and it was on point — perfectly cooked, great spice, and full of flavor. Overall, a really satisfying meal. Definitely a spot we’ll be coming back to!

Unfortunately I didn’t like it. I am open minded and not demanding when it comes to Korean food. With that being said, I wasn’t expecting this place to be the best Korean I have had, that would be unrealistic, but I really don’t understand the great reviews. My shrimp fried rice couldn’t be mushier and bland, and the shrimp they used was the super tiny cheapo kind. It tasted like bad tap water. Same with the kimchi, I could taste their tap water. If I had known they serve you white rice when you buy a protein I would’ve never order it to begin with. The pork bulgogi wasn’t great either. The best was the sticky white rice. Too much money for a meal not enjoyed. Oh well, it happens!

The food is amazing, the service is awesome. My gf and I have come here a couple times now. The only thing we don’t like is we never see many people here, when they deserve to be packed every day. We will be coming back quite often.

I've eaten at many Korean Restaurants, this is the best one! The service and the food is fantastic. I had Galbi which had the best flavor that I've ever eaten. I will definitely go back and I highly recommend it.

Phenomenal place to get your Korean food fix. All the plates we tried this time and last were delicious, fresh and prepared with care. Come here and relax, the food is to order so nonoe of this 5 min fast food unhealthy stuff. They do not serve alcohol bur their drinks are amazing such as teas, yogurts, sodas, rice and ginger drinks, aloe drinks.

I can't say enough good about this Korean cuisine experience! The service is timely and non-invasive...the portions are satisfying...we left full and didn't even need a refill (one free) on the starters, spice level is on point, and taste was delicious...the salmon is a must-try!

Everything was super tasty! My sister and I came for lunch yesterday and came back again for lunch today with our husbands. Everything was really good and everyone was really friendly and happy to answer questions about the menu.

This used to be my favorite Korean place. Unfortunately, the menu has changed. I really liked the soups that they offered before, which were filling and packed with ingredients. The options I used to order are now gone, with a lot smaller menu. Maybe they did that to simplify the menu to improve the quality of the food. Well, I ordered a soup this time, and for 14 dollars I got a little bit of broth, with some tiny pieces of brisket, a tiny bit of vermicelli, and a little bit of dried green onion. It was a soup I would expect for free/at a cheap price alongside a main dish, let alone 14 dollars excluding tax and tips. I was shocked at the decline in food quality here. I'm giving this restaurant a 3 star rating because I really loved this place, but with the food the way it is currently I don't know if I'll be back.

Really good the first time, ordered the same thing but it was terrible. kimchi stew tasted like water with tiny portion. Service was terrible, the brown guy had no serving etiquette, didn’t do anything for our complaints not even a sorry…
