We ate here on 9/7/22 and had a reservation at 7pm. There must be a reason I had never heard anyone rave about or even mention Paolo's in the 3+ years I have lived in College Station. By far the worst place I have been to in College Station and will be telling others of our awful experience. I really wish I would have taken pictures because it is hard to believe the quality of the food that was allowed to be plated in the kitchen and then served by our waiter.Seafood Diavolo (1 star): Where to start... first, the dish came out floating in water. I am unsure if it was from the noodles or the sauce but I literally was spooning liquid from the plate onto a small saucer plate that came with our bread. I also had to use some of that bread to soak up what the spoon wouldn't get. The entire small plate was filled with water and I had to use 3 pieces of bread to soak up more of the liquid. Second, the noodles were overcooked and mushy. The only positive was the the sauce was spicy and could have been good if the rest of the dish wasn't awful. I ate 1 shrimp and one bite of noodles and was done. I quit eating and decided to go somewhere else after we left Paolo's.Steak and arugula flatbread (3 stars): Overall unimpressive, especially for $14. The steak was bland and the feta cheese tasted stale. The most edible dish we ordered though.Lasagna (2 stars): The noodles were overcooked and mushy. It was like eating a spoonful of ricotta cheese; you couldn't tell where the noodle and cheese ended/began.What disappointed us the most was that the tall waiter with long brown/blonde hair, saw me scooping water from the dish onto a plate and didn't say anything. Then, when he took our plates away he obviously saw that I had not touched the food at all and didn't bother to ask if there was an issue or anything wrong with the food. It was a combination of the food and the inexperienced staff that made this the worst place we have been to. We walked out with a $60+ bill, no one enjoyed their food, we had inattentive service, and I ended up getting Chick-Fil-A on the way home because I had half the flatbread and couldn't finish my meal.

I moved here 3 yrs ago, and always wanted to try paolos. Now that there doors are closing, I figured I'd better do it soon. I was pleasantly surprised. Being from ny I've found it hard to find "real" Italian food here. This qualifies! Everything was real good, prepared fresh, authentic real ingredients. The sauce was a little salty, but other than real good food. Sorry to see them go. The flavored butter for the bread was probably my favorite part.

The food presentation was great 5/5 the food was good 4/5 the service was fantastic 5/5 the dessert was excellent. It was really a shame to destroy such art work.

Birthday treat for the wife brought daughter and son in law. First and foremost the service was five star. Our waiter Dave and his support staff were excellent. Tried three appetizers flat bread, meatballs, calamari. Two out of three were great. Calamari was disappointing. Entrees were the perfect size and served piping hot. Drinks and desserts were top notch. Prices extremely reasonable. This place is a redo for sure.

I ordered the special but my NY Strip was extra chewy. The Alfredo sauce was very runny like a soup on my wife’s order. Kids spaghetti was better than any adult entree. A/C must have been out of service but not their fault. My opinion is to find somewhere else tbh. Im just a visitor for the weekend.

Paolo’s Italian Kitchen in College Station was just what I was looking for when it comes to Italian food. I ordered the Salmon Piccata and loved it. Paolo’s was busy that night so I called and got reservations before. We ordered the steak and arugula flatbread as the appetizer and the truffles for dessert. Strange look to the restaurant, like it was maybe once connected to the Hilton but aside from the look, the food was good!

In town for a work conference so decided to try it out based on the good reviews. The decor was odd. Very dark inside with hardly any decor. Tables had nothing but a black tablecloth on them. It took a bit for us to be greeted by a waiter. I ordered Chicken Alfredo and asked if they could add some broccoli. I assumed there would be an extra charge and I was fine with that. The serving size was rather small for the price. The waiter asked if we wanted cheese on our meal and proceeded to hold it up so high over our plates that he not only provided our meals with cheese, but the table as well. Our table looked like the kids table by the time he was done. I then noticed my meal didn't even have chicken. The waiter takes my plate, brings it back and here we go again with another cheese fiasco to the new plate! ? The Alfredo sauce was like soup. No thickness or consistency to it at all. Each bite splashed new drops to my black shirt and by the time I was done, I myself looked like one of the kids at the kids table! ? We get the check and....$6 for a side of broccoli!! I went and addressed it with the girl at the front. Her response, "well the price is in the menu"....I go sit down, our waiter comes to the table and I address with him. His response.."well the price is in the menu". Then he sends the manager over...his response..."well the price is in the menu". Good lord! Obviously they have received this compliant before because everybody went on auto pilot as if they were reading from a script! My apologies for not verifying the price of a side of broccoli before ordering but my goodness, I along with 90% of most people wouldn't guess it would be the cost of a small appetizer!...?‍♀️

The best Italian food in town hands down, plus they’re decently priced. I got the calamari fritti for my appetizer, the spaghetti for my entree, and gelato for desert and spent roughly 40$Overall, this is my favorite Italian restaurant in town and its always the first place I recommend to eat here

My boyfriend has Celiacs so we are thankful that they offered almost every pasta with a gluten free pasta noodle alternative. The waiter was even so kind as to bring a basket of warm gluten free rolls to the table! No extra charge for any of it. Also, we never had empty glasses of water. Amazing service!

I was staying in town for work so I found this place next to my hotel. I haven’t had a wonderful meal like this in years- usually somethings amiss when I eat out, but not this time. The entree, Pinot, soup, music (Sinatra), lighting…it was all to my liking. The space was simple, open but clean.Mikey, my server, provided the right amount of attention and was lighthearted enough to make my evening better. The tomato basil soup was so rich and creamy that my taste buds couldn’t believe what I was consuming. I can’t wait to come back.

I didn't expect to be this impressed by this place. The food was great! The butter is just amazing, the bread is a bit hard but the butter more than makes up for it. We had the calamari appetizer. It was great too. The seafood fra diavolo was extraordinary. I haven't had pasta like this before. It was spicy, flavorful, and something unique. The real highlight is the service though. The server was really friendly and took care of us really well. I forgot my card at the table and he ran out to out car to give it to me. I will definitely come back to this place.

The food was average for an Italian restaurant. Almost 80% of the menu could accommodate gluten-free dietary restrictions. Ambiance was lovely! The service was also wonderful.

My favorite little gem in cstat! This is my go to date and anniversary spot. Ive had trouble finding authentic italian restaurants since Ive moved to TX but this one is wonderful. I love their ravioli and tiramisu.
