Saltgrass Steak House

My wife and I celebrated our 49th wedding anniversary at Saltgrass on August 20, 2025. We drove to College Station from Rockdale and the two are round trip was well worth it. The food was absolutely outstanding. The salads were fresh. The steaks were delicious and cooked exactly as requested. My wife likes her steak well done but not dry and she got exactly what she wanted. I requested my filet be cooked medium with a warm pink center and it was cooked to perfection & tender. The oven-baked sweet potatoes were absolutely delicious. Our waitress was so polite and friendly and let us feel welcome. She answered all our questions, took our order & made our experience very pleasant. Our compliments to the chef, server/waitress and everyone involved in making this meal one of the most enjoyable and memorable we've had in a long time. We enthusiastically recommend this restaurant.

Kellee refused to allow my service dog to sit where she is supposed to be as a service to me. I had dined in 4 other times before 8/20/2025 visit with me service dog sitting where she is supposed to be and Kellee refused to allow her to be there. I felt really disrespected by her on my visit!!!!!!

The steaks are truly amazing, the most tender steaks I've ever had. Our server, Draydon, was attentive and awesome. The atmosphere was laid back and casual. Great place to eat a great steak

Ever since Covid this place has gone downhill. The quality of meat is sub par. Ribeyes are the biggest losers. They are paper thin and all fat. The tortilla soup is bland. And this is from trying different Saltgrass in different cities. I miss the good ole days

Went with my sister for lunch after her ring ceremony and even though they were super busy the food was great and the service even better! I recommend definitely getting a reservation though

Enjoyed tonight! Our server Caitlyn was sweet, checked on us often, and was so much fun! Food was delicious! Mozzarella bites were amazing and different than we have ever had. Portion sizes are larger than expected and pricing fits well. Side salad was not small like you see in other resteraunts. Not pictured (forgot to take) chocolate cake.

Excellent service from CK. I had the best Old Fashioned I've had in a while after the bartender used the wrong bitters. The steak was excellent just a little overcooked. Ordered medium rare and received medium. Still juicy so we accepted it. They did very well accommodating my wife's gluten intolerance.

Dietary restrictions: Incredible gluten free bread! Ask for one to go and use it for your next hamburger at home.

My wife and I dined at Saltgrass in College Station and while our waitress was great I was truly disappointed by the Chicken Fried Steak. The gravy was pasty not creamy and the steak was stringy and lacked flavor. My wife had a filet mignon 3 way and it was not up to par!! We don't live nearby but we won't be visiting Saltgrass again.
