Excellent service and scenery! We had sushi for dinner and finished off with a few cocktails from the bar! Well worth it, I’ll be back again.

We have been to Shogun multiple time, and they have always been great. Tonight, we ordered to go through their online option. Their online system is through a service called Beyond Menu, and is linked to one tablet. If the tablet doesn’t work, the restaurant does not get your order. That happens to me this evening, and was not really handled by their management at all. The bartender apologized multiple times, but once he placed my order through their system, he never spoke to me again. I noticed the manager speaking on her cell phone, and talking to other tables, but never once approached me. Once she close enough, I asked if she was the manager, and why they didn’t have a backup system. She apologized but only offered excuses and nothing else. I finally got my order 30 minutes later with no other apologies. We will return, but never order to go again. Very disappointing.

Hibachi was excellent & service was great too! Kids loved the hibachi as well, They said, "best food ever". Dining and restrooms were clean.

The food was eh...ate at the flat top our chefs attitude was awesome! Best thing of the night. We had spring rolls, chicken and fried rice. Chicken was dry not a lot of flavor. Food was mediocre and for the price shouldn't have been. Probably won't be back and gave it 4 stars merely for the experience.

Horrible place. Ordered the Teppanyaki Chicken. Never got my salad and the chicken was super hard, overcooked and has no sauce on it it looked like a kids meal. Don’t waste your money i could’ve prepare better than that at home. I added jalapeños and sweet and sour sauce and i literally only ate like 5 mini bites as u see in the picture that’s how much chicken they really gave me .. such a disappointment, I’ll stick to C&C Asian. The most decent spot in college station imo

There was some anticipation for this place to open, unfortunately our first dining experience here was a let down. We sat in a booth in the main dining area and for a Saturday evening on March 2, 2024, it was moderately busy. Our server, Joel, was polite, however, my wife and I felt rushed to make a decision. Finally, we ordered our main entrees to include crab rangoon and a spicy yellow tuna roll as appetizers. Unfortunately, after approximately 20 minutes, everything came at the same time, so our table was crowded and we were unable to enjoy our meals in the proper order. My wife ordered a $12 mini bottle of La Marque Prosecco (187ml) per the menu, however, the smallish glass it was served in did not seem to contain the entire bottle. I myself have been a server and a bartender at 4 and 5 star restaurants and the standard pour for a red or white wine is 5 ounces. This glass definitely did not contain the entire bottle. There was a point that we did not see our server (Joel) for at least 20-25 minutes. His response was "sorry, its been a long day." Note to self - Not a good idea to blame your inability to take care of your guests with how long a day its been. Our steak was under cooked and the veggies were salty so I had to mix it with the rice (which was cold) to cut back the salty flavor. For a $100 check, I would have expected better quality and better service.Kid-friendliness: Our 18 month son dined with us and we requested a high chair. The only chair that was available was one that did not have working straps. We were offered a booster seat, however, even the screws that keep the straps in place were missing. After approximately 30 minutes, another high chair came available so I took it upon myself to get one. For a place that has been open for less than 3 months, you would think they would have the proper equipment for guests of any age.

Steak dinner served cold and over cooked. Steak was poor quality. Vegetables were cold. Waitress didn’t come back after putting food on table until time to collect money.

I am here to write a new review for Shogun. I had posted a negative review and I must come and do a new one. After our very disappointing experience on our first visit there….the manager reached out to us to ask us to please give them another chance…and we are so glad we did. On our first visit the food was not seasoned at all….but wow….it was spot on on this second time. I ordered exactly the same thing as on the first visit…this time everything was super good and based on this visit we will return. I highly recommend Chef Jackie….he definitely knows how to cook well seasoned food. I will say that having the manager reach out to us and asking us to give them another try shows great customer service and will pay off for them as we will for sure return for future dinners.

My husband and i have gone every Friday night for the last two weeks. First we tried it out during a date night and then brought our two boys. Our second experience was fantastic! Francisco will be a requested chef when we return! He was so engaging and funny! Great with our kids but also funny with the adults! We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and overall experience. Glad we have this option in College Station.
