Bellissimo Italian Restaurant and Pizza

We went very late for lunch. Service was excellent. I ordered the chicken special and my friend ordered chicken and sausage. The bread is excellent. If you like Olive Garden's sweet, sugary sauces, this probably is not your place. This is far more authentic. The alfredo is the BEST! The meat sauce is also great.

We go to Bellissimo frequently with our church group. Always have outstanding service and the food is wonderful!!! Very large portions and it’s always so delicious. Our waiter is always very friendly and efficient.

We never were waited on tonight so we left. We were there long enough to see another customer being yelled at for asking to send back a dish.

I have been a longtime customer, including at the restaurant’s prior location, but after this experience I will not be returning.

Tonight, our server (an older man with a ponytail) waited on our table. We ordered several items, including the stuffed mushrooms. When they arrived, they were covered in an excessively greasy sauce, with visible grease pooled on top, and had a soup-like consistency. We tried half of one mushroom and found them undercooked and lacking flavor.

We politely sent the mushrooms back, saying, “I’m sorry, we need to send these back.” The server did not ask why and simply took them away.

When the bill arrived, the mushrooms were still listed. We asked that they be removed. The server responded, in a raised and confrontational tone, that he did not remove them because we did not specify why we disliked them. He walked away while audibly complaining that it costs the restaurant money and that they still have to pay for the mushrooms.

He returned with the check and continued to argue loudly about our request, shaking his head and expressing visible frustration. At that point, my husband addressed the situation and stated he was surprised by the lack of customer service. The server continued to argue with him rather than attempting to resolve the issue.

I then explained that the mushrooms were not good and asked if that was what we should have said when we initially sent them back. The server told me I was wrong, stated that many people like their mushrooms, shook his head again, and walked away.

Bellisimo’s customer service is as weak as their stuffed mushrooms and I recommend you pick a different place to eat.

I also agree with other reviewers that there is likely some fabrication involved with all the positive reviews.
