“First, this place is realllly good. The cake donuts are super fresh and moist. The sausage kolaches are my husband's favorite. You won't be disappointed. Second, the owners are incredibly nice and friendly. Our daughter wanted to go here for her birthday and they gave her a blueberry kolache (tray she loved). They also put some extra rings on our donuts for her. It made her entire morning!“

“THE BEST IN DFW AREA. I have lived in the DFW area for 38 years and I have never found a better and more consistent donut spot than Donut Paradise. Roanoke is known far and wide for being a hot spot for good food and this place in an absolute gem! The owners, June and her husband Ken, are extremely kind and generous and my kids always love coming in and saying hi to June. The donuts are absolutely excellent and I've literally never had a bad one from here. My favorites are blueberry, old fashioned, choco choco cake, and cream cheese danish. Also, her breakfast croissants with egg, bacon, sausage, and cheese are amazing! Seriously, everything is good! I'm a food snob and I usually am very let down by donut shops... but like I said, this one is always good, it's the best.“

“I walked in mid-morning and was the only person in the store so the ice creams were stored up somewhere and I didn’t see any other donuts on display, but it didn’t matter because the young female employee was glad to explain. I ordered 6 vanilla drizzled minis which were made right there on the spot. They have a deep fryer placed forward so you can watch the process and everything comes out warm and crispy and at just the right size so that your eyes can’t oversize your tummy. Well done with a cool set of well placed onlooking llamas who also make an interesting on the wall art work. Got some jalapeño and cheese kolaches and they were very good too i just prefer when the jalapeños are in small pieces and not sliced but that's just myself. “The Black Rose Donut cafe is more than a donut shop. They are open all day and serve burgers, fries, wings, and more. Not only is the food excellent, it is prices way below other places. The classic glazed donut is large (in comparison to a Krispy Kreme), light and very fluffy (but not too thick); fried golden on the outside and with the perfect veil of classic but not overpowering glaze. They close early - a great sign that the donuts are FRESH. It would definitely be worth arriving early to get them when they're warm. But these are so good, the temperature doesn't affect the quality.“
