Passed by on my way to Goldthwaite. Throughly enjoyed a lunch followed up with a very good piece of coconut cream pie. OMG, I now judge great coconut cream pies by the pie here. I will be returning today to enjoy another slice of coconut cream, pie heaven.
Would I return? YesTraveling thru, I needed a meal for the evening, and of the limited restaurants that showed up in my search results, most were Mexican; and I didn't want Mexican - that can be had in nearly any township. I opted for this little place on the square's peripheral.The building is an old 1890s ish structure, and the interior is from yesteryear, also....kinda neat! Very unassuming, though.I was promptly greeted and served! ??I ordered the Pasta Carbonara;...
One of the places I would stop by when I worked in the area for a good burger. They also always have homemade pies on hand and are generous with their portions. If you're passing through or visiting just be aware that they don't take card.
