The holiday pickup is the most disorganized thing I have ever seen in my life. I’ve been waiting in this line for over an hour and I’m only getting sides.
I’ve done other Lubys locations for holiday meal pick up and it’s never been as bad as this. Y’all need to think of a more efficient way to do this

it’s OK, but it’s mostly nostalgia. Some of the food was quite bland, such as macaroni and cheese. It wasn’t as good as it used to be. Still, other foods were exactly the same as I remembered.

Update: baked dark meat chicken, cornbread dressing, cranberry sauce and sweet potatoes are very good. Cooked cabbage just ok. Very clean. Good home style food. Nice staff. Love the rolls, jalapeno corn bread, veggies, vegetable soup. Best liver and onions around.

The variety of food can be beat by none. And everything tastes delicious. Great home cooking and the servers are always so welcoming. I highly recommend them. On another note. Desserts are fantastic as well.

I was surprised the food was not homemade or tasty like it used to be i know I am old but still expected lubys to be the same good food it had been. The piece of coconut pie tasted like they had put lemon in it. Just nasty. The gravy was good but the tenders were so hard I only ate a half of one. Corn and spinach was OK, roll was way too sweet. I was disappointed. I asked for a too go box for my food. That is what I got. I had to ask for a container for my gravy and a bag to carry it in. Just mediocre service. Yes I left a tip anyway. I basically wasted the 16.00 I spent on lunch to take home to my dogs.

There is good news and there is bad news about Luby’s.
First the good news: No matter what time you go to Luby’s there is always plenty of space available in the parking lot and the serving lines are really short.
Now for the bad news: The quality of the food at Luby’s has been steadily declining for a long time and, in my opinion, it has now hit rock bottom.
I am pretty sure that the bad news explains the good news.
The only food items served at Luby’s that are still worth going for are their pies and cakes.
Sad to say, but I suspect this Texas icon won’t be around much longer.
