La Chata is probably one of the most authentic Mexican restaurants in Conroe. Their daily specials are great, and the food has that homemade taste that is hard to find. The service is also very good; everyone is always friendly and willing to suggest different things to try. I believe it is family owned, which would explain the great service and the homemade flavor. Definitely recommend it.
Very clean space with a welcoming, friendly atmosphere. The staff was attentive and made the experience even better. I ordered the pozole with flautas, and everything was fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. Definitely a spot I’d come back to!
Hands down the best Mexican restaurant in town! If you’re craving authentic, City of Mexico style cuisine, this is the spot. Everything is fresh and flavorful The Birria is my favorite, the barbacoa and menudo is amazing with handmade corn tortillas that take it to another level.
