This has to be some of the nastiest chicken I’ve ever ate. Order the basic hot chicken sandwich. Chicken was very rubbery and hard to eat. I was hangry and tried really hard. Ended up just eating the skin of the chicken. Still nasty. The fountain drinks were bad also, I don’t think their settings are correct. There were three of us, three different meals and we all thought it was nasty, not sure who is giving these 4-5 star ratings.

First time here at Hangry Joe’s. I went with the Chicken Sando and my son had wings. I was a little worried that the Chicken Sando might be a little too small but it was what I would consider to be a normal sized sandwich. I tried mild. Probably could have gone with medium. Food came out hot and fresh.
My son had wings with no seasoning and waffle fries. I tried both. The waffle fries were crispy and probably among the best waffle fries I’ve had.
Restaurant is a little dark due to the dark walls and the fact it’s in the middle of a strip mall so has limited windows.
I am sure I’ll go back again.
Parking: More parking in the back of the building.

I've been to a couple hot chicken places and never really liked any of them bc they were dry and the spice didn't have any flavor, just burn.
But this place definitely knows how to season and cook chicken (I think it's the korean influence ?)
I got the chicken sando medium spicy and it was perfect for me. The sandwich is massive and I almost couldn't finish it. The slaw was just sweet and wet enough to bring it all together.
I forgot to take a photo before I bit into it ?

I ordered the #1. I ordered spice level hot, and it comes with fries and a drink. The sandwich is huge, and the waffle fries are probably some of the best I've had.

We tried this place missing Helen's hot chicken in Lewisville. I must say I've had better. The chicken tenders were under cooked and had to put them in the air fryer just to get them cooked. We were the only people in the restaurant at the time and they still left off the cheese sauce we ordered. If you go here make sure your chicken is done and make sure you check your order. Looking forward to the New Dave's hot chicken coming to Lewisville.

I can see if you have never had a hot chicken sandwich that you might like the food here. But as someone who has tried multiple hot chicken spots in the DFW this is the worst easily. The chicken was spongey, not crispy (I had the sando) and tasted pretty bland without the sauce. Thic cut pickles so if you like that then there you go but I didn’t. And the size of the fries they give you for the price is ridiculous. Fries just average at best. If you want a hot chicken sandwich I would recommend Ricky’s, Crimson Coward, Hattie Bs, Luckys and even Dave’s over this place.

The chicken is hot and crispy. I had the Nashville Hot Chicken Sando with Medium spice. My wife had the 4 Chicken Tenders. We both shared the Loaded Fries, which was tasty and satisfying! The food is certainly pricey ($39 for 3 food items and a drink), however the portions are big and sizable. I finished half my sandwich and my wife ate 2 chicken tenders. We have enough leftovers for dinner. The Loaded Fries were worth the visit overall and we thoroughly enjoyed the sauce. We definitely plan to return!
