We tried this place missing Helen's hot chicken in Lewisville. I must say I've had better. The chicken tenders were under cooked and had to put them in the air fryer just to get them cooked. We were the only people in the restaurant at the time and they still left off the cheese sauce we ordered. If you go here make sure your chicken is done and make sure you check your order. Looking forward to the New Dave's hot chicken coming to Lewisville.

I can see if you have never had a hot chicken sandwich that you might like the food here. But as someone who has tried multiple hot chicken spots in the DFW this is the worst easily. The chicken was spongey, not crispy (I had the sando) and tasted pretty bland without the sauce. Thic cut pickles so if you like that then there you go but I didn’t. And the size of the fries they give you for the price is ridiculous. Fries just average at best. If you want a hot chicken sandwich I would recommend Ricky’s, Crimson Coward, Hattie Bs, Luckys and even Dave’s over this place.

The chicken is hot and crispy. I had the Nashville Hot Chicken Sando with Medium spice. My wife had the 4 Chicken Tenders. We both shared the Loaded Fries, which was tasty and satisfying! The food is certainly pricey ($39 for 3 food items and a drink), however the portions are big and sizable. I finished half my sandwich and my wife ate 2 chicken tenders. We have enough leftovers for dinner. The Loaded Fries were worth the visit overall and we thoroughly enjoyed the sauce. We definitely plan to return!

The food does have a fair bit of spices to it. If you like spicy food and still want to taste it, go with medium like I did. The tenders and sandwich were fine, the Mac and cheese is mediocre at best. I think you should give this place a try but it's not life changing.P. S. Kinda pricey for 2 combos and 1 Mac and cheese almost $37, to be fair what isn't pricey these days?

I ordered the chicken and waffles medium heat, and it was delicious! The dipping sauce and the maple syrup made it that much better. The Sando is next on the list, so I'm definitely going back!
I’m not even going to rate the food bc at this point the service trumped whatever I felt about the food.First off, it’s my first time here and I’m looking at the menu. I’ve been to Dave’s and they add bread w their strips meal. I asked the Asian lady at the front if the meal came with bread and super annoyed she goes it comes with waffle fries. I was like ok, I’m just going to go with a sandwich. She gets obviously way more annoyed so at that point she pissed me off. I asked her “you seem annoyed, ARE YOU OK?!”. She was like yes, and tried to smile. At that point, I’m HOT. Change your face and change your attitude. You work in the customer service industry! Learn a little customer service. Smh.

One if the best chicken places I've ever been to. My friends and I got 3 (big) meals that added up to $50, so it was DEFINITELY pricey. However, for me, it was worth it. The wait was long, but that is because each meal is made when ordered so you get everything fresh. The customer service was good, although I believe there was somewhat of a language barrier so I will not hold it against them. Plus, it's a small chicken restaurant and I don't expect red carpet. We got our drinks, sat where we want and waited for about 10-20 minutes or so and got the most delicious food I've ever had. The chicken ranges from mild to spicy, and if you know korean chicken, it can get SPICY and it's the best chicken you can get. This chicken was extremely juicy and tender, yet not undercooked in any way to where you can see or taste blood or redness. The skin practically fell off and it was nice and crispy. The fries were waffle shaped, and seasoned with what I assumed was the same seasoning used for the chicken. They were crispy and delicious. I can't wait to come here again. EDIT: update from months later than when I originally came and holy cow, I still love this place. I've been ordering online and picking up instead since it's much more convenient for me and I absolutely love it. The chicken is still juicy, the fries are still yummy, and it travels well. The customer service is nice. I only live less than 10 minutes away yet it's always ready when I go to pick it up. The female employee that hands it to me is always kind, and wishes me a good day. If you like juicy, seasoned, spicy chicken PLEASE do not hesitate to come here.

Strike 1 - they didn’t have wings. Strike 2 - their bathroom is nasty! Strike 3 - no kiosk to place our order easily. Overall, the chicken sandwich (medium) is the right amount of spice and their sauce with the fries were good.

Nashville hot sandwich is my favorite hand held food. This one was one of the best I've had. Juicy fresh chicken with a nice thin batter on it. Also ordered chicken and waffles. The waffles are amazing and the chicken is good. Just the spice chosen was ok. Got chicken bites and the powerdery seasoning leaves something to be desired. The waffle fries with tostitos cheese was a knock out. I'll be back

Second time coming here.This time got chicken and waffles.I've had a lot of hot chicken, and don't think Hangry Joes is anything special.What left a bad taste was the owners (?) service (or lack thereof).First I called to place a order to save time. She answered by saying I can place the order on their website. Hmm I called for a reason, I'm driving and not able to browse websites. Anyways, I checked the website and noticed prices are higher, so I just waited till getting to store since only saving like 5 min.Once I got there, she's just playing games on her phone and acted like she's doing me a favor by taking my order. Not once did she smile or say thanks.Won't be coming back with the million other hot chicken places to choose from.
