The atmosphere is nothing special, bartender/ server was polite and casual. The food- it tasted good, unique, not something you get at every restaurant. Unfortunately my experience would have been a lot better if the tortilla for my tacos were cooked/toasted. They had good flavor though. They also had an over ripe, pre sliced Avocado, dry and terrible. Sure, they make to-go orders, but as the only customer in there at lunch time, I think they could have put a little more time and attention to my food. I ordered a margarita, the menu said it was made with lime juice but the bartender used sweet and sour. What a shame, he freshly cut strawberries and cucumber and muddled them for the margarita, served in a decorative Mexican clay cup and didn't squeeze the lime juice. He had the tool. Again, as the only person in there, he had time for me. That poor margarita had so much potential. Overall, I'd recommend a try. I had the Pura vida tacos and birria fries, I'd say, give it a shot.

I came here on 3/9/24 with my wife and she had the Birria Ramen which was delicious. I had and highly recommend the Pura Vida Tacos w Mexican Rice and Charro beans that was out of grandmas kitchen. Awesome service from Julian and his recommendations were on point.

We LOVE Barrio's. It is our go to. There's unfortunately never many customers in there, whether we go weekends or weeknights, but it's so good and underrated. Food is great (and we try different things every time) and the margaritas are also so good! They have several flavors and we've tried over half the list, love them all. The birria sandwich is delicious, birria enchiladas...genuinely everything. Cannot recommend this place enough. Please go support them!

Foods the best it get for a 5 out if 10.Got a quesadilla a la diabla, y unos tacos estilo Smash Street Corn...Rice was mush and bland, beans are ok, the quesadilla just had chorizo for flavor nothing to make it endiablado. The tacos are just ok, sweet yellow corn kills the flavors it's trying to be.Service was mediocre at best, had us waiting had to signal for them in an empty house, and they forgot to put in our order.

I recently had a bday lunch there with about 15-20 people. For all of us it was our first time trying this restaurant. I wanted to try something new and by looking at the reviews I was somewhat convinced that this might be a cute, casual but good place to try. I never really leave too many reviews on places I've been but for some reason I feel it's necessary being that I brought so many people along to try something local and semi new in Corpus Christi. Pros: *Our server/waitress was amazing, she literally did the best she could do with such a large party without any help from other employees. *fairly reasonably priced food/drink items *Food was decent I ordered the birria tacos Cons: *CUSTOMER SERVICE: customer service severely lacked. when we walked in no one greeted us, smiled or even let us know to be seated it's a small place inside so we saw the tables and chairs set up so we just proceeded to sit down. Other than our one waitress the other employee that was there stood and watched the football game on the tv's, when someone in my party asked the gentleman if he worked there and if he could help, he stated yes and continued on watching the football game. *there's a smell of sewage in the restaurant, you never once smell or have any aroma of food cooking. *understaffed, and possibly not prepared for large groups (I called a week ahead to let them know when we would be coming and how many) it took about almost 2 hours for everyone to receive their food *FOOD I know I put food as a pro but several people in my group stated the food was too salty and that they believed they were using frozen/canned chicken for their chicken fajita nachos *restroom had personal items in there (someone's toothbrush and toothpaste) I hate to put such a low review but I have to be honest. I really wished this restaurant would have been a place that everyone with me enjoyed but unfortunately it severely lacked in customer service which is why I had to leave a review. A few of the people in my group decided to cancel their order and leave just because of customer service.

Delicious! Not sure about the atmosphere or service, as I’ve only favored it. But the mini street tacos are delicious, as well as their charro beans. The birria tacos are also delicious. Highly recommend.

I ordered the fideo which was so much better than my own and my boyfriend ordered the birria enchiladas and after trying them, he said we would be back for more! Its a bummer that the mimosa shot flight is only available on Sunday's during brunch, however, it has given us a reason to return on that day as well. Our server was very nice and knowledgeable about the menu.
I enjoyed the Birria plate the first time.....2nd time was so-so....my husband tried the Argentinian Fish Bites and did not like it at all.....possibly a different cook?

First off I'm so disgusted with my Order. Got 2 mini Taco plates. Barely any meat, rices was cold, beans weren't even fully cooked and cold. And was missing a taco from each plate. Stop in corpus to eat saw the reviews never coming again 10/10 would NOT RECOMMEND. Called the manger to get things situated and he pretty much blew me off.

I'm confused about this place. This is my second time getting take out fm here and I'm still not sure what to say about it. First time I got the meltdown burger and it was kinda good and kinda too greasy but today I went back and got the Parillada Mexicano fajitas and it was ok however, it was nothing to write home about. I still want to try the Barrio tacos but maybe not. The rice I got today had fish bones in it. The first one ok but the second one (see photo) problem! Please explain fish bones when the only fish I had was shrimp? The eating stops and this writing starts.
