Brewster Street Ice House Southside

I recommend visiting during non-peak hours. On a weekday, the service and food were excellent. However, during a Saturday visit, I waited over an hour for my order. When I addressed this with the manager on duty, I was told that if I could not wait that long during peak hours, I should avoid visiting then. Although my order was refunded, an hour-plus wait for food is unreasonable and reflects poorly on the restaurant’s service standards.

Crew was awesome and attentive. Went above and beyond to make sure our needs and requests were met. Food came out great. Love being able to add this location to our future boat trip stops.

i am a cook at the Southside location I would recommend, the blackened red fish& steam veggies or the streets tacos add avocado and grilled jalapenos 💯🤤

I have been here before and loved everything about it: food, service, etc. But for some reason the food this time was not up to their usual standards. It was cold and tasteless. I am assuming it was just an off night.

Me and my 3 buddies were kicked out for Moshing in a mosh pit we paid extra to be in. There was 10 other people in the pit, and Court the manager assaulted my buddy and kicked us all 3 out during a metal concert!!!!! I used to love this establishment all the staff was wonderful, but Court was a disrespectful human being. This is why I go to House Of Rock or Concrete Street. COURT IS A POWER HUNGRY TYRANT , AND HE RUINED THE EXPERIENCE.

ZERO STARS!!! This place is trash!
My husband and I have been to a lot of restaurants and this is the worst place we have ever been to.

The food and service was terrible. I ordered a frozen margarita and the mix was disgusting, I almost didn’t even want to drink it because the color was off. So I exchanged it for on the rocks and it tasted like watered down lemonade with no tequila. But that’s not the worst part.

I ordered a seafood platter, and I took a bite out of the fried catfish and I looked down to take another bite and it was raw! That has never happened to me. And I’ve been to lots of seafood restaurants. It wasn’t even very good, not crispy.
The fries had no taste and not crispy, maybe it was frozen. My husband’s hamburger looked like it had been frozen. He said the patty was dry and he hated the fries. He was starving and he couldn’t eat it. The manager came and apologized and gave us a refund.

The service was not the best. When we got there we didn’t know where to go, being our first time and from out of town. There was a group of young people that “worked “ there, crowded around a stand outside and they were so busy laughing and talking they didn’t pay us any attention. Another young person came over and noticed us and directed us inside.

We walked to the register to see more young people just standing around talking. No greetings. Eventually we were asked what we wanted. My gut was to run the heck out of there but my husband was very hungry. The only nice person was our waitress.

The only grown adult was the manager which may be the problem. You get mainly young labor with no or little good supervision and that’s a recipe for disaster. There’s no mature people to make sure things are running smoothly. And probably not the right training. All these people need to work at chick filet to learn how to work in customer service and learn how to work hard. This place is a fun hang out for them.

I will never come back here. I hope I don’t get sick from the catfish. This place needs to get shut down.

Spent $160+, as you can see the garlic wings had a thick layer of butter hardly any garlic parm. The steak was under cooked and it took talking to two server and a 30 min wait for the manager to come out just to refund it. The kids burger didn’t come with any other condiment only cheese and the ketchup on the table. The chicken fried steak had a small scoop of mash potatoes that were spread out to take up for space on the place, the wings took 30 min to come out even thow we ask for them as an appetizer. We ordered a tortilla soup with was the soup of the day and it took them 45 min to tell us they never charged us for it that why they didn’t bring it. Golden corral would’ve been cheaper and better.

I like their food so I have opted to just buy food to go. The place is always so full and noisy that for me is uncomfortable to eat there. Plus the service with the people that bring the food to your table is not good. You always have to be asking for plates and silverware because if you dont they dont bring it.

Wednesday night. US soccer match on. Our party of four ordered chicken fried steak, hamburger steak and burgers along with our drinks. Sat inside. Nice atmosphere (first time there for me) and our waitresses were awesome and friendly. Appetizer came out but chips were cold. We were hungry though. lol. Food took a lot longer (approx. 30 minutes), but so did other tables around us. I assume kitchen was backed up. We were good because staff was nice, TV was on, and the drinks were cold. Food did come out and was still warm and delish. Overall we liked it.

Amazing food and atmosphere! Only thing we don’t like is having to order at a counter. I don’t understand why there are no waitresses! Great place to take the kids and listen to live music!!

Unfortunately I can not post anything positive. The kitchen closed at 10 pm. Granted it is late but we were not notified before entering. The place closes at 11 though. I did not see an obvious sign explaining beforehand. Unless O missed it.
