Brewster Street Icehouse - On The Island

My family and I went tonight with our small dog. We stayed on the patio. We were there almost 15 minutes and not a soul came to speak with us after we sat ourself. Other tables were being spoken with, but at least 7 employees walked past us- I made eye contact with two. It’s a Monday night and not very busy at all. There was even a woman looking at her phone behind the bar. We ended up leaving because we just felt so unwelcomed. Just wasn’t good customer service.

My family and I came tonight with our small dog. We sat ourselves and sat on the porch with other tables for several minutes, close to 15. Several staff walked by, some making eye contact with me. No one greeted us or anything. There was a woman standing behind the bar just looking at her phone. At least 7 employees were out there and no one said a word to us. We ended up getting up and leaving because we felt so unwelcomed. It wasn’t busy in the outdoor area. And other people were being served and greeted. This just wasn’t a welcoming environment in the slightest and we left confused. This isn’t ideal customer service and I’m sad to have had that experience not only for my first time visiting, but also my first time ever.

Can't respond on food because we never go a chance. Didn't even have an opportunityto get water for our table. Unable to get the attention of any of the half dozen employees we wertr invisible to. There's poor service, and there's an absolute lack thereof. Customer service is non-existent here. Such a shame, it could have been a great place.

Brewster Street Padre Island is like a time machine. 80s, 90s music, emphasis on TX, decent beers, fun service, great location. We were just visiting CC for a weekend, when we come back we'll visit Brester Street again.

Food was forgettable, lacked any seasoning, and was served room temperature. Gravy on the chicken fried steak was cold. Chicken fried steak was tough and bland. Burgers were also lackluster. Ordering and table setup made no sense. We were instructed to go inside to order, but then after ordering we were asked what table/area we were sitting at. Impossible to do when there are very few tables available and you end up having to find a table in another area than what you told them at the ordering counter, which also appeared to create chaos for the employees bringing the food out and hunting for the correct table. Inside area air conditioning was minimal and people were fanning themselves with menus to stay cool. Had high hopes for this place but left disappointed.

So where do I begin, I never write reviews, but felt like this needed to be said, as a long time island resident, this place has a bunch of potential. But the service was horrible, having to chase down your server for another beer after needing one for 20 min. Is insane. Next, the food was alright, we ordered the buffalo salad, which was good but hard to mess up, the buffalo chicken sandwich just had the buns and chicken, no lettuce, no tomatoes, no mayo and no ranch. The only good thing was the weather and environment. Sorry to see such a good name go to waste!
