We had a good time at the aquarium. About 30% is outside on the Waterfront side. Great views. Surprised at all the birds on the 2nd floor. It was worth it for a one-time stop. They also have a military discount. See a full video o. YouTube at Coolest Life.

Very helpful Talks. I love watching the feeding of sharks and turtles. Turtles can get so old. It's good that they were rescued but sad that they were beached. They have six brown sharks. I had no idea that sharks get to be eight feet tall.I took a lot of videos and pictures of the animals. I loved feeding the stingray.I found out tubi Toby is thirteen. The oldest dolphin is thirty and it's pretty amazing. I loved the dolphin show a lot.these animals are amazing. I loved my eels and I suggest that people check this place out. It took three to four hours to do the aquarium. A few places to eat there as well. The Caribbean journey was very good and I loved the information about the Gulf of Mexico, exhibit, and it was cool to get splashed in the dolphin show. We had the seats to ourselves in the movie s theater. Sharks was a great movie.

Came from out of town. Had a great time. One small thing happened that irritated the heck out of me- this kind of thing is just part of life so I know that I really can't get too mad. We showed up 30 mins early for the stingray feeding. It wasn't super busy as we came on a Wednesday morning. We stayed the whole time waiting to feed them. Finally they started the feeding session, the worker went around the line handing out food. Everyone got food to feed the stingray except my two kids because they ran out of fish. If you're going for one of these special feeding times and there are kids around maybe give up your turn to feed so that a kid can. I feel like the workers could have handled this a little better, let us know ahead of time that there was a limited amount of food. It just irritated me. We still had a great time other than that experience, and my kids are very resilient and weren't down too long after it happened. We got to teach our kids a valuable lesson, sometimes you don't get a turn and that's just that. Wasn't planning on teaching that lesson on our vacation, especially not after paying $140 admission. Thanks Texas State Aquarium

Don't expect Sea World, but this is not your average local aquarium. My grown kids enjoyed it. Snacks and drinks were extremely expensive. Just be prepared. Lots of walking and crowds but worth it. Going to the wildlife rehab was a waste of time. We saw one sea turtle in a tank.

The Texas State Aquarium in Corpus Christi is an amazing place to visit. I recently had the opportunity to do the Shark Encounter, and it was an incredible experience. The staff was super helpful and knowledgeable, and they really made sure that we had a safe and enjoyable time. We started the encounter by learning about the different species of sharks that live in the aquarium. We then got to snorkel in the Caribbean Sea exhibit, where we saw sharks, stingrays, barracudas, and other fish up close. It was an amazing feeling to be surrounded by these beautiful creatures. The staff was really great at answering our questions and making sure that we were comfortable. They also gave us some great tips on how to snorkel safely. Overall, I had an amazing time at the Shark Encounter, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is interested in learning more about sharks.

If I could select no stars I would have! We traveled 5 hours and paid $255 and because people "save" seats at the dolphin show my family couldn't sit; however we had a nice place standing in the sun behind the bleachers, then they found enough seats walked us down but because they allow "save" seats we didn't not in fact have a place to sit and when we back we also lost our standing place. I brought my kids here and wasted our time! Never again and I won't recommend!

Very clean aquarium, very nice employees. Beautiful tanks. Will definitely go again. We got a caricature by Wren on second floor and she did a great job with it. The food in the restaurant The Canopy, it was delicious.

We had a great time at the aquarium today as the final adventure of our vacation before heading home. We stopped in at 3:45pm, which only gave us about 2 hours to explore and it was the perfect amount of time to enjoy all of the aquariums exhibits. Although we were too late for any of the shows, we still got to pet the sharks, sting rays, and jelly fish. Most worth mentioning was one of the aquarium staff, David, who gave us our own personal Q&A session about the resident Giant Octopus, Isla. David was so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about Isla and the rest of the exhibits. He definitely made our visit worthwhile.

Two stars. Very expensive admission, even for seniors over $30 each! The place was packed to the point that we could barely view the exhibits. Lots of families with toddlers, many toddlers running around wailing. We ate lunch on the third floor. $3.50 for a can of drinking water!! This was certainly not the experience we expected.

This place was the best aquarium I've been to, they treat their animals sooo well! And they're all happy and healthy! If they aren't healthy they can moved into their rehab facility, which is the ONLY LICENSED one here in Texas! Their staff is so knowledgeable and caring, and super friendly! Their entire facility is super wheelchair friendly and they're super accommodating of anyone with sensory issues. They're tanks are all clean, not too clean which is perfect! They have a HUGE variety of animals, not all of them being aquatic animals! All the habitats are beautifully made and they're very realistic to the animals normal habitat. All the different tours and shows they have throughout the day are a lot of fun and extremely informative. I would 100% recommend coming to this aquarium no matter your age or abilities! My fiancé and I went for his 22nd birthday and we had a blast! GO CHECK IT OUT ITS AMAZING!!! STAY AWAY FROM AUSTIN AQUARIUM COME HERE INSTEAD!!!

Super big aquarium BUT to pay almost $50 a ticket and not be able to even look at the animals because of how packed it was a little bit of a bummer.

Probably a better draw for families with kids than retirees. While I found the tanks of critters interesting and a bit educational, the two things that I liked best were the ocelot and the huge mosaic column (next to an escalator) depicting marine life at deep, middle, and surface zones of the Gulf. Overall I think of this as a small aquarium with rather limited selections of displays that seriously overcharges ($40/person) for the experience. As I say, maybe the excitement of kids would make it feel like a worthwhile expense. But to me it's just too little return on too much upfront investment.
