Disappointed that this was considered the only 5 star restaurant in the area for breakfast and brunch. Menu was very limited and did not seem like a 5 star rating was deserved.

Just recently have I started posting reviews but I figured why not. Café Calypso has been our go to coffee place for many many years. Walking in we immediately feel the presence of Erdal and the passion for a great coffee stop he and Marcy created. Our favorite roast is the Antigua Guatemala whole coffee bean, and they never fail to have a good supply for us. I also enjoy the chicken salad on a croissant with hummus, Yumm! Service is consistently friendly and it’s always a treat to see Marcy. Just need to make our way downtown to visit your Starr Street location.

I love to treat myself for lunch here. Very small menu but good enough to hit the spot every time. The staff is always friendly and smiles. Nice wine selection.

Becoming a coffee drinker was a reluctant step. The staff asked questions and provided suggestions. Looking forward to some cold rainy days chilling in the clean downtown shop. See you there.

Complete entitled Karen’s work and own the business. One of the locations is downtown, so on festival days they go as far as STANDING in parking spots till their people people circle back around to park. Not so they can work but so they can attend the festival all dressed up w/their purses and drinks in their hands. They bully for these spots even though the parking is on the street and absolute not one sign saying reserved. Response from the entitled Karen’s is “I don’t care”. I had my 70 y/o father with me - shame on you Karens.

Stopped in to get some coffee mid day with my sister. They were training a new employee so it took a bit long to get our coffee. We had the Turkish Delight coffee which is sweet but still strong enough. It was delicious. They only take cash or checks which is very strange for business these days. Good thing I came prepared with $.

Had a wonderful cup of coffee and a delicious Pesto and Brie sandwich with Turkey. Yum. BFF said that Latte was fabulous! Cute and spacious. She's having happy hour tonight with live music, beer and wine. This is a great new hang out for downtown!

Everything you love about the original Cafe Calypso, but downtown! Lots of great food and pastry options, great coffee, super knowledgeable service staff and a lovely ambiance. You can also purchase coffee beans and they will grind them however you want!
