I haven't been here in 35 years and it's still amazing. 5 stars all around. Just as I remember; the tartar sauce is amazing. You can put that on everything. It's great to see this place still in operation. Shout out to my waitress Bella for a great service experience, she was super friendly. Was greeted with smiles and was quickly seated. Food came out quickly and was hot. The food here is seasoned perfectly and not overboard like most places. Fresh and fried The hush puppies, are amazing. I could eat 20 of those just because they are on the table. Delicious. Thank you Catfish Charlie's for allowing me to relive a childhood memory thru your determination and commitment to great tasing food and business. Y'all have to stop by this 'Gem of the South'.

It was a quick trip and we wanted seafood. They have it there. All good. Hush puppies were served before your order. We had seafood and all good. We had gumbo that was disappointing, but I ate it. Not enough seafood, and roux color not right. Too much rice.

Old CC spot for fried seafood, the catfish was good but their fried shrimp was way better. Got a shrimp salad to-go and it was amazing the following day, I'll definitely go back if given the opportunity.

Our server was great till the end when we asked her to split up the check. She gave us a dirty look and made sure she was going to get her tip by auto tipping 18%. She didn't tell us she was doing that in hopes we would not see it and tip more. The sad part about that is she would have got much more out of us, had she been up front about the auto tip and not given us a dirty look when we asked her to spilt up the bill. Sad that one person can keep a group of people from ever returning.

Amazing food and hospitality!

I moved out of Texas when I was 11 and brought my family back to Corpus to see where I grew up.

I recognized the Catfish Charlie's building and had to stop in. The food was amazing! Not many places have 40+ years in business. Kudos!

Catfish fillets were Extremely bland!! Coleslaw was eh. Fries tasted old and bland. Beans was probably the tastiest. They serve complimentary hush puppies and was not a fan of those either. They charge you extra if paying with a Card! For lunch, our bill was over $43 for two of us. Little pricey if ask me.

This was our first stop after driving for 8 hours to get to Port Aransas. Ordered the catfish and shrimp dinners. The food was hot and fresh. The restaurant was freezing but the food was darn good.

I had the fish and shrimp plate earlier today with fries, beans and rice. Fish and shrimp were good, some of the fish was extra fishy. Red beans and rice didn't have much flavor. The fries were double fried or just old. They left a weird after taste, ketchup or ranch couldn't mask the taste. Was not happy with the fries at all considering they were half the plate, I feel wasn't worth $18! Will not go back for awhile. Nothing bad to say about service, she was very nice.
