Wife and I went last night 1/5/24. Bartenders and all staff were amazing. Great music and huge dance floor. Patrons were exceptionally welcoming! Nice mix of cumbia and tejano music.

We showed up and there was no sign or anything. I’m pretty sure this place is closed down! We headed down to The Social and hit up The Brick around the corner too! Both great venues with good staff.

Trashy, tables are to close together. The restroom don’t even work. Why not fix the restroom prior to such a large event. ??♀️

Fun place to dance to various genres of Spanish music. There was a smaller sized crowd when I visited but it looks like it was going to get busier later in the night.

False advertisement. Event flyer said $1 Margaritas and $2 beers. At the bar they said they had issues and margaritas were $4 and beers were $3.

My friend and I decided to go to Whiskey Río to check it out since we have never been there before. We had a couple beers before we went, but we were far from inebriated. When we got to the door there looked to be about three bouncers, waiting outside. As we were walking in the tallest of the group, stopped my friend and told us that he was too drunk to enter the club. He was so clearly not drunk it was ridiculous. I think this was a form of profiling, which really needs to be put into check. I will be making a formal complaint about this issue as we have done nothing wrong and we were not drunk nor causing any problems. When I questioned his decision, he got really angry and got into my face and threatened me physically. If this kind of behavior is condoned by the whiskey, Rios management, then I think this should be public knowledge.. if not, then there needs to be a retraining of the security staff at the establishment.

idk who the dj was on sat 1-22-23 but this dude played the same style song over and over 15 songs in a row. The whole side to side 90s tejano gets old. Kept waiting for a cumbia, banda, huapango, durangese hell even a merengue song it never got there. We left early

Such a great experience! I was worried about going there after reading all the negative reviews. But as soon as my boyfriend and I walked through the doors we were greeted with a warm welcome. The people and staff were really nice. Can’t wait to go back!

My woman and I I had a great experience, the place was not to crowded and everyone was very welcoming. We were encouraged by those attending to go dance and enjoy ourselves. We did not encounter any rude individuals. I would definitely come back and recommend others come as well.

I’m new to Corpus and so glad I found this place! I had one of the best times of my life last weekend. We danced and chatted with so many other people there. The DJ and the bartender are definitely worth a visit?I love it here!

Some big guy was so rude don’t know if it was owner but I’ll never go back again. Music was better at the nugget ….to bad they don’t have a bigger place to get a better crowd because this place is definitely NOT WORTH it!!!
