I am almost 100% sure that they served me actual shit. The service is also shit. Please do not go here if you want a relaxing beach dinner there are hobos cooking your food with no hygiene

I agree with the environment about this place. It’s a dive. It’s not what you’d want; I knew this and opt to take it to go. It got worse. My husband and I come down to north padre every year from Austin for his birthday. This year we came twice, today is our anniversary. In June we found Costa sur and loved it as we haven’t like any of the food down here. The first order in June, we got the wrong order and luckily they just gave us someone else’s and we got ours quickly.Last night I called in an order at 5pm and was specifically asked if I’d like fish or shrimp for my taco and told the order would be ready in 20 mins. We drove upThere at 530 and the order was not ready for another 10-15mins. When we got our order, my tacos were replaced with fried fish and fries. We called them to get the right order and drove back. When we got there, the order hadn’t even been put in. My husbands sandwich was now cold at the hotel while we waited so I asked for another sandwich (this was our anniversary dinner and we just wanted it to be right and enjoyable!) I waited around with extremely loud horrible music and barely any air flow. The manager could hardly help as she was too busy being a server and she couldnt even hear me speak over the guy trying to sing- I didn’t get my food until 7pm.Overall: dark, loud, horribly long wait, food is fine but not great

Everything we had here was delicious. We had the tuna nacho appetizer, the mixto ceviche, the pescado saltado, and the shrimp poor boy sandwich. Highly recommend this place. Didn't let them take the nacho plate away before we had all the last bits as the Criollo sauce and mix of flavors was so good. Nice balance of salt from the Criollo sauce and tuna and the sweet from the mango. The poor boy sandwich was perfectly fried with a nicely toasted bun. The pescado was richly flavored. The ceviche was standard lime ceviche. It was all good.

If I could give this a 10 star I would. I have a refined pallet for sea food, being raised in Alaska, and the PNW. I must the the ceviche fusion and the fish tacos are an absolute must! We’re not from Port A, (Austin) but we make a special trip ever 3 months to come to the beach. We plan it around when this restaurant is open that’s how good it is. I brought my sister here she lives in Portland and she literally cried when she ate the ceviche. I’ve been around the world and everyone that lives within 30 mins from here is BLESSED to have Costa Sur within driving distance from them! It’s a must go! We’ve had the wings, nachos, and curry bowls, burger, you can’t go wrong here. The cooks need a raise, the attention to detail is insane, ever meal is PACKED with flavor! I didn’t eat all my meal so I can savor it later. Till the next time guys! Can’t wait!

Not a real Peruvian restaurant. Lomo Saltado was ok, not authentic, pretty disappointing. Ceviche was bland not something I’d get again. Unfortunately, these were the two most popular Peruvian dishes and neither one tastes Peruvian style and it’s too expensive. Sorry, i can’t give my 5 stars away with this one. Service was ok.

Always a great time here! Owners are brothers and they are super customer service oriented! The Peruvian food market is so tiny and I’m so glad this place is here on Padre! The scallop appetizer is so savory and buttery, and the coconut basil rice and tacos are always delicious! They pickle the onions in house and their sauces are awesome! Follow their Facebook for specials like brunches and events! We did a brunch with a bunch of ladies around Christmas and the owner delivered our meal in a Santa suit! The drink options are great and you should definitely try the Pisco Sour or Leche De Tigre!

I love, love, love Costa Sur! The fusion ceviche is incredible! The coconut curry shrimp is fabulous, the Pescado a la Panca ahhmazing, pretty much everything I have had here was fantastic! The service is good, these bartenders and waitstaff work their tails off, so be patient, it is worth it! The Pisco sour is the perfect drink!

Best peruvian food in Texas! I got Leche de Tigre a lo macho, Ceviche Mixto and peruvian style Key lime pie. The food was so delicious and I am planning on going back every time I am in Corpus Christi. My husband got the house salad and it was amazing as well.

Indoor and outside seating as well as at the bar. I had their top shelf coconut margarita - delicious. My husband and I split their ceviche mixto - tasty. For dinner, I had their tuna burger, and my husband had their 'shroom curry. Both were really good.

We had a very long wait both to get seated and for our food to come out. The food was delicious though. I had the pork belly tacos and they were excellent.

I took a quick getaway trip from San Antonio to Corpus for a few days and stumbled upon this hidden gem. All I can say is... wow!! It has a small town sort of vibe. The service was incredible - shout out to Kilee who gave us some awesome recommendations! The food was absolutely incredible - the fish was so fresh. We went with the fish tacos, pork belly steamed buns and, of course, had to try a ceviche! I washed it all down with a coconut margarita and it was all heavenly! If you haven't been to Costa Sur and find yourself in the area, do yourself a favor and check it out!

I love this place it takes a lot for me to leave less than five stars somewhere I like but I am a career restaurateur and every time I go in there it's crushing to watch these hardworking bartenders try to cover a whole restaurant floor with just two of them. Where's the manager? When I manage I'm out there hustling like crazy helping to bus tables and when my staff is too far behind I'm helping two refill drinks and run food or even take an order if I have to. They'll have like seven people on the kitchen line looking at each other because the staff can't turntables over fast enough to keep the orders coming. Meanwhile we're sitting there for near 10 minutes before we get our first drink order and only when I call for the bartender to come talk to us. That's how we had to do it every time we needed anyting, then we got to watch our food sit in the window for a whileLove this place food atmosphere and location are great but that manager needs to get out there and get to work or at least schedule another person on the floor. Or let it cook go out and help out or something? Sorry about the rant I just really want to enjoy my time there.

Waited over 15 minutes to get anyone to take even a drink order after we sat down and they weren't even busy. Our appetizer sat for over 10 minutes before the server brought it to our table. We asked for a side of ranch and after we got the bill it had a $2.00 charge for the tiny cup of ranch....we were never told when we asked for the ranch that there would be a charge, let alone a $2.00 charge, which is outrageous!!! I told the server that had she told me it would be $2, I would have never got it.... her reply, in a not so nice tone, "what do you want me to do about it"... in which we replied, take it off our bill. She agreed to remove the charge..... we were just there on Vacation, but the friends we were with, live there. They said they will never go back and neither will we. The fried fish was totally over cooked and we waited over 45 minutes to get our meal. Was a very unpleasant experience and wasn't cheap!!!
