Doc's Seafood and Steaks

We are visiting the area and chose this spot for dinner! Great choice. The open atmosphere was fun with great live music, service great and good choice of food. Cynthia (waitress) was an angel and made extra effort to make sure we were well cared for, although she was very busy. We opted for the stuffed fish, which was delicious. Drinks were good too and all were fairly priced. Will definitely return!

I visited this restaurant for my birthday lunch. The view is lovely, but the food did not meet my expectations. The chicken-fried steak tasted like a microwaved version of the dish and came in a small portion. The appetizers—crawfish, French fries, and South Texas egg rolls—were noticeably better than the entrées, with solid flavor and generous portions.

Unfortunately, the service was disappointing. Our server did not return to check on drinks, rarely came back after dropping off the entrées, and handed us the bill while we were still eating, which felt rushed and dismissive.

I would return only for the crawfish fries and the photo opportunities by the water. The restaurant is disability-friendly to a degree, but the tightly spaced tables make navigating with a wheelchair difficult when exiting.

Great place to watch the sunset, wind down, or grab a good lunch or dinner. The food and drinks are always good. Doc's is a local favorite so you may have to wait for a table.

Food was average to above average. You definitely pay for the location. Clam chowder was great so was the fried flounder. Meh on the rice, cole slaw and fries for sides.

For the price of meals here, there should be an area boxed off with air condition. Could not understand why the indoor area was so loud. Could hardly hear each other at the table. Last negative, our server..Once food and first drink delivered, never returned until time to bring check and collect tip. Long wait for food despite not many diners at the time. Despite these things, our food was absolutely delicious. The best flounder I've ever had (that's saying a lot since I'm over 55 and a native of the south texas gulf coast area). Recommend you ask servers to come back for refills/2nd drinks. I do intend to come back here (for lunch during a cooler season and only with family). Date night? Remember the sweating...?? Don't recommend.

Flounder stuffed with crab meat is wonderful. It melts in your mouth.

The food is so great- best by far in this area after trying several other restaurants! The shrimp and fiesta chicken was on point! Bethany is amazing and the live music/atmosphere was perfect. We will be back!

Wow, what a view. If you just want to sit by the water and have some great food you need to stop here at docks. Food is a really good priced. And they have great drinks as well combined and see them.

Doc's is always the first place we eat when visiting Padre Island. Service has always been top notch and the food is of the highest and freshest quality. Always a pleasure to visit!
