Small little donut place off the beaten path on Padre Island that's run by a nice senior couple. Not sure what they do with the dough, or the icing, but they were super yummy. I don't like most of the heavily frosted donuts, but I'm a big fan of the basic glazed donut or glazed twist. I ordered the glazed twist here, and there was something about it that took it just a bit higher than your average glazed donut at your local grocery store. It was delicious. Unfortunately we stopped there as we were headed out, headed back to Dallas. So I didn't get a chance to go back a second or third day. Give it a try and let me know if I'm crazy, but there was something unique about these donuts. Two thumbs up.

Best breakfast on the island! Owner is so nice and keeps this place at a very high standard. Amazing sandwiches and pastries at amazing prices. This place is a go to for something quick, easy, and delicious!

We dropped by for a quick breakfast this morning. I got the Apple fritter which was pretty good and my wife got the sausage colache which they heated up and was enjoyable. They have a decent selection of pastries and a few tables if you want to dine in.

The guy is very nice. Great donuts! I also bought the twist with chocolate frosting but ate that in the car. The donut is crisp which is soooo good because when you bite into it, it's soft!

Wife went in today and said the same thing others have said about how the employee (female) was rude and the bad customer service.Extremely overpriced for standard donuts, they have a monopoly on the island, and the pricing reflects that. It feels like you're getting ripped off.CC Donuts in town serves the same exact donuts, cheaper, and better quality. Now I haven't gotten a bad donut from Donut Palace but CC Donuts are insanely soft and even though these are also standard style donuts I'd put CC Donuts on the same level as some of the big dogs I've tried like Randy's (Los Angeles), Federal and Beilers (Philly)
