Compared to other schools', this diner is pretty decent. For the low price of 11$, you get a buffet. But for the people with special diets, it's really not a good

I use to work for the Islander dining hall. Had the worst experience in my life! I had a problem with one of the supervisors named Maggie all over trying to find help opening a ranch container. Than on top of that I found someone to cover my station while I go to the restroom, mind you I did tell one of the supervisors but Maggie went off on me all because I was taking my purse to the restroom with me. She kept telling me to clock out and when I did she told the other supervisor “tell Warren she walked out!” When in reality I did not she told me to clock out because I had my purse that I was taking to the restroom. Than when I tried talking to the main boss Warren he wouldn’t talk to me he would just walk away. I’m also a student at TEXAS A&M university-corpus Christi! and the way I was getting treated was the worse thing I’ve ever experienced it belittled myself! I do not recommend. The food is okay but to work there they don’t treat you like you’re suppose to be treated. Than the supervisor she talks in Spanish about people thinking we don’t know what she is saying about us. It’s a shame chartwells let’s this go on! Sad part is I even went to the higher up and no one helped me!

Parents and guests are welcome here, and the price is reasonable for all-you-can-eat with many types of food.
Even though they sometimes fall behind on getting food made quickly enough for everyone, they do make up for it by delivering it directly to your table once it's ready.

They have a good variety of foods here! Sometimes it can be a bit of a hit or miss. But for the most part, I love the staff and like the food. ?I appreciate how they have added more options and signs that indicate that they can accommodate for food preferences like Vegetarian and Gluten free.

I have a gluten allergy and they put signs out saying that things are gluten-free when they’re not I’ve gotten sick several times they have also given me and my roommate food poisoning. It is gotten to the point where we are scared to eat here.
