I was not impressed. They did have great tortillas we had crispy tacos, with rice and beans not something to brag about or recommend. Carne guisada ordered two plates only ate a couple of bites. Not good. A taco of potatoes and egged was also ordered there was more egg than potatoes if there was 3 potatoes that was too much. Staff was friendly.

Friendly service by Julio himself, and the girls that are walking around cleaning and helping with bringing the orders. Chicken fried steak plate was great. Chalupa was good. The Julio Burger was good. Did not like the crispy taco the ground beef was too dry. Hot sauce was very spicy made my nose run. That is a good thing, spicy hot sauce is always good.

The shop staff and owner are incredibly friendly and accommodating to our large family. We went in and felt like we were at home. No judgement and no frills. Just good home cooked eats with lots of flavor, crisp, and freshness.
We recommend everything the menu has and it is not far from the highway. Just two minutes from I-37/ 385 as you head south to Padre Island.
I cannot commend their customer service and hospitality enough. Our large family was well fed and nourished to continue the journey. Thanks Julios!

Locally owned and been here for a long time. Burgers are very good, the tacos are awesome, everything is really good, and the staff are extremely friendly and polite. We eat here at least once a week, if not 2 or 3x.

I've been here a few times since I moved here, and it is a really is a great place. It's small but there's always been room to sit when we visit. I've only been here for lunch and their new dinner hours. I'm so glad they made later hours because working a regular job during the week did not allow me to dine here before. They have great South Texas food... carve guisada is so good here... and I'm picky when it comes to guisada. They got me hooked on the Julio's frito pie (guisada on top of fritos with cheese on top... even better when you add avocado). The burgers are awesome, too. There's still more I need to try so I'm definitely going back. You should check it out, if you haven't already.
