We lived in San Antonio for 20 years. Every time we visit, we come here. The food is good, but what zip it lacks, is made up ten fold in the staffs attentiveness and personality. This is such a great place!!!! I wish when they served the "all the way bloody Mary" it would come out the same every time but it doesn't. One drink I would get all the fixing the next I wouldn't. I'm in love with the baked oysters! One of the best things on the menu is the macaroni, tuna, and salmon! Great atmosphere of course! I love how the drink menus are built into most of the tables!

Google and Yelp say open, but it is CLOSED due to hurricane damage to the pier. We drove over there to find out the judged it down. Their number is also not working, which a messages on there would be nice. We will try it again. Hope they stay open! Nice spot. Call head to make sure they are open. Hope they update their open status.

THE MOST AHHHHmayZING grilled tuna salad. We were there right before Hanna this past week. Will make another trip as soon as we can. Do hope all is well and you won't give up and give in. Please stay open.

Absolutely do NOT recommend Mikel May’s. We called in a to-go order at 6:05pm and was told it would be about 30 minutes. 2 hours and $100 later we have microwaved food and a weak pina colada. The bartender had a “better than thou” attitude and the manager did NOT make our poor experience right. Will NEVER be back, will NEVER recommend, and will WARN friends of going. Crab cakes were decent.

So my daughter and I were visiting my sister in corpus and we decided to try this place out, I ordered the blackened Mahi-Mahi and my daughter ordered the popcorn shrimp basket, I also ordered fresh oysters. The Mahi-Mahi looked very appealing until I ate it, there was absolutely no seasoning and it tasted old, everything I tried to order as a side they were out of except the veggies and a fruit cup, which the veggies were extremely greasy! After I ate I told my sister I wasn’t feeling well and later that evening I was vomiting and diarrhea all day evening! I wouldn’t recommend this place at all the only good thing was the server was wonderful and the view was amazing but after paying the amount I paid just to get food poisoning no thanks!! Please hire a better cook!!!!

Loved this.place! Friendly, dog friendly and amazing food wit an Austin vibe! Bajs Shrimp Tacos were a flavor explosion in my mouth! My boyfriend loved his Blackened Ahi Tuna salad. Mac n cheese with bacon side was quite tasty and loved my Strawberry smoothie too. Definitely will be back!

I guess it costs a lot to stay open. High prices but great atmosphere and great service. Food is doable.

Best fried shrimp on the island! Wonderful open air restaurant with great views and friendly staff!

Got takeout. The seafood nachos that I received were nothing like the picture. Very little seafood and no sauce. I ordered a piece of key lime pie. What I got was a Styrofoam cup with something hot that looks like mashed potatoes but doesn't taste recognizable or good.The fish that I also ordered was very bland.

Went here with a good friend of 9 years, and decided to have some drinks and conversate, as we hadn't seen each other in like a year. He moved away from corpus last year. The atmosphere is always very laid back, with the ocean as a backdrop!! I mean, there's no way you can complain about an ocean as a backdrop and then to top it off, u can fish off the pier!! Excellent spot for family and friends, and to rest and relax, and take in the views. The waiting staff is also very friendly and helps with anything you need. Love Mikel Mays!! ?

Just a normal beach bar. Pretty good selection of draught beer. Mixed drinks weren't terrible. Kitchen was an hour and a half wait so we didn't get food. Smelled delicious though!

Came by after a romantic beach adventure with my girlfriend and ended up here for refreshments and food. Got sat real quick but the staff just stared at us every now and then making eye contact but never spoke to us. We sat there for a solid 15 minutes thinking they would eventually send someone but then they sat another table and even greeted them and got their order. We waited long enough to get service. I've seen way faster and more experienced wait staffs at lower tier restaurants than this.

Because of the Corona & they just reopened service was adequate food was good. Had the crab balls appetizer very tasty, even after I bought the leftovers home.
