This place is amazing. We had a variety, including the shrimp and steak. Everything was delicious and cooked perfectly. The service is excellent and employees are super friendly. The place is also very clean. We will definitely be going back.
Good home style cooking, the homemade desserts are very tasty.
I had the double chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and fried okra, it was decent.
My lovely dinner date had the poboy, 🤷is my reaction, she had it with brisket and smoked sausage, fries and okra.....meh.......bland just by looking at it, I didn't want to taste it, I passed, Texas rule, if you don't see the smoke, smell the smoke and see the wood.......it ain't true barbecue, nuff...

A very good family dining restaurant. They have a wide variety of menu items. Their sandwiches are great. It can get crowded but it's easy to get in. Order at the counter and they bring your food to the table. I had the brisket sandwich, which was delicious. Sharon enjoyed her shrimp poboy. If you're looking for good food at a very reasonable price in Calallen check Nolan's out.
