P.O.E.T.S Corpus Christi TexasNative northern Missouri here. I moved to south Texas in 2012 and miss tenderloins! Someone suggested a little restaurant here in Corpus Christi that I have never been and they did in fact have the amazing sandwich! I would give it an 8/10 ONLY because of 3 things….the breading wasn’t what I am used to (I always had the crushed cracker breading), the size of the loin and type of bun was a sweet bun and not toasted. other then that, it was very flavorful and juicy! Would recommend and will be back! But all in all, the restaurant itself gets a full 10/10. They were very busy with a wedding party but everyone still had a great vibe and was super nice and patient!

While the 3 ladies are doing a better job with the ownership, running the place. Sit down dining is better, cleaner. The take out service stinks so so bad. The last three times I've ordered take out. So so lacking. Fajitas plate with no tortillas, another time ordered coconut cream pie, they gave me chocolate pie (I can't eat choclate) , another incident scanty amount of chicken fajitas were awful. Goodness I'm gonna sit out from this place for awhile perhaps they can get it together.

Just Came Here Again To Eat Dinner! Atmosphere was very welcoming and clam. The service was absolutely amazing! The waitresses were energized and loving. You can tell they loved their jobs, and our waiter who helped us was extremely helpful and Loving. Food was absolutely Outstanding. My Grilled Chicken was juicy and every bite was filled with an amazing taste of grilled. Fries were crispy and delicious. My Beef Enchilada was Just like how classic Enchiladas should be made. Sauce was delicious and the meat was perfectly cooked. Tortilla was soft and beautiful. Everything about our Visit tonight was Phenomenal. 10/10 Food, Service, and Atmosphere. Highly, Highly Recommend!!

I typed Mexican Food near me and this nice little place popped up. The atmosphere is very family friendly. The menu is simple. I was very pleased with my order. The staff was attentive and very polite. I can't wait to go back and try something else on the menu. I did order Chicken strips w/ Broccoli to go from the Kid's menu, but forgot to take a picture. The portion was quite surprising and would satisfy an Adult if needed.

Place was busy as usual. Not the restraunt it used to be. Wish I could post a picture of my Nachos... ridiculous for $11.95. I basically got 2 dry Challis with a little cheese and dried up meat.

Place was busy. Glad I made reservations. Had extra parking and an entrance in the rear. Got our drinks immediately. Waiter was on it when our drinks got low, food and anything extra we needed was brought quickly. Plates and empties were picked right away. Definitely recommend going here and will do so regularly.

If you're a local you know where to dine and if you're in town for business or vacationing you want to know where locals go. Place Poet$ on your bucket list and you will be totally satisfy with the wait service, Mexican / Seafood/Steaks & Dinner Specials including their famous margaritas. It's a 40 years establishment that once you dine there it will be a go to place for life !!!!

I go here occasionally. The food is good, the atmosphere is fine, but I always feel rushed with the service when it's busy around dinner time. I completely understand, but to let me and my family sit while they sat 2 other families. Then, when I told them what had happened, they persist to tell me they'll get me a table ready, and then they sat another family. As I said, the food is good but with no apology, service that required us to hurry, and the bus boy to help us at times because our server was to busy, it just isn't the experience in looking for. To each their own if you care to wait for the food. May have been a bad night to go or they were short staffed. Whatever the case may be, the food was good.
Not the same cold food .we wont be returning. Not the same any more. Order chicken fried steak gravy was cold....beef fajitas were a cheap cut of meat...
