I’m sure the food is delicious every day of the week but if you were not there on March 19, 2024 you truly missed out! There was not a crumb left behind! I had the fried chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy and black eyed peas! Cornbread too which was also amazing. The fried chicken looked so good I put the honey and butter on it instead of the cornbread 10/10!! Everything was a 10/10! From the music to the staff. It was me and my best friends first time visiting corpus and we DEFINITELY will be back! Hands down best southern food restaurant I’ve been to. Amber was AMAZING! We even had to let the chef know that he didn’t miss a beat in the kitchen! ❤️❤️ Oh and I had the sock it to me cake for dessert DELICIOUS!!

This is the kind of place you take a date, and if they ask for a bite of your food, you end up fighting on the way home.Parking: It's on a 1 way street so don't go the wrong way. There is a bigass lot across said street with tons of parking

The food was fast, hot, large portions and delicious. Friendly and efficient staff. This place exceeded my expectations. My plan was to take a pic when my food arrived. However, once I tasted it I could not stop eating it. I did take a pic anyways.

I'm here at Portis Kountry Kitchen. The atmosphere is so pleasant with jazz music in the background. Today's menu is the Saturday Brunch menu, which starts at 11 am until 2 pm. OBTW, the sweet tea is so delicious ??. They also have mimosas. This is the first of many visits!!

We went in right as they opened so there wasn't a wait. The server was so sweet! She was ontop of refilling our waters and offering condiments plus let us know how long until our food would be ready. She said the food was worth the 7 minute wait which I agree. The fried chicken was perfectly battered. I would highly recommend the cabbage and okra. The corn bread was delicious but I enjoyed dipping it into the cabbage.Parking: We parked across the street. It is a one way street but beaware of the cars coming.
