Definitely pay Prime prices here. Steak was poor for the price ‐ not too tender, lack of juice for a medium rare cook, not seasoned very well. Live music in the lounge was nice. Service was acceptable.

On Valentines days, I SPECIFICALLY asked not to have the valentines special, but was infact charged for the special for myself and my husband even though we didn’t get the red velvet cake that was included in the special. I wouldn’t be so upset if we had at least received the cake that we were EACH charge for. The waiter was not even the one who brought out our food, our appetizer came out AFTER we had to remind them when our entires came out. They did charge us for the valentines special that was $95 PER PERSON when we didn’t even get what was included, at the end of our entire the waiter asked it wanted to see the desert menu when the red velvet cake was suppose to be included in what we were charged for. When we got the check my husband didn’t want to fuss about it and just paid the bill, but this pissed me off that this business was so cheap as to not at least educate their staff of what the standards are. The 7 oz steak my husband ordered was not cooked correctly, and could have been cooked better at home for less than $95

South Texas Best Food Critic here. I had high expectations for this restaurant, especially during the valentines rush. I was really hoping for a great steak, but unfortunately, this was anything but. The meat was tough and overcooked, despite ordering it medium-rare. It was more like chewing on a rubber band than enjoying a tender piece of beef. The seasoning was sparse, leaving the steak bland and lifeless. The texture was off too – not juicy, but rather dry and stringy. Honestly, it felt like the steak had been sitting around too long before making its way to my plate. I won’t be coming back for this, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for a decent steak. A real disappointment. I wouldn’t mind paying for a bad steak if I was at Texas Roadhouse. But when you spend $50 on a steak, being disappointed at the end shouldn’t be an option.

Overpriced, unpleasant service, table arrangement very uncomfortable for some tables. We also had unhappy stomach issues overnight also who got buffalo steak. Will not return.

Best place to relax and unwind….the fact that this is the only place in corpus where the lounge is extremely comfortable without a single TV so that the art of conversation is the main focus, perfect for couples, business dinners, and treat yourself restaurant. Whoever is the owner/designer of this place should hear this, hands down phenomenal establishment. In addition, yes this has a better steak than all other steakhouses in corpus including Republic of Texas.

Overpriced under produced and terrible servicing can't keep up with demand or their own staff. Witnessed 25 changes of staff i two years can't even count on consistency of menu. Prices and quality are all over the board. Got randomly trespassed without even a reason why when disagreeing to how the options were laid out.

Compliments to the chef when people ask for a well done steak they mean internally NOT externally burnt.

Made a reservation two weeks in advance. Got a call day of confirming which table we would be at. Asked if there was a difference between the two options and was told there wasn't. Turns out we got sat arms distance from the live band. Waited 20 minutes for a server, which didn't come, went to manager and asked if we could be sat at a different spot, which was a no. Walked out and went to Katz 21 which immediately sat us and had no issues.

Prime Steakhouse & Whiskey restaurant is absolutely stunning, w a beautiful ambiance that just sets the stage for a wonderful dining experience. The food was very delicious. However, the service was disappointing given it was only 6 p.m. and not a peak hour. Our glasses were left empty for long stretches of time, as the staff in front of us rarely came around. When they finally did, it took an unreasonable amount of time to refill our drinks various times. While the food & atmosphere were excellent, the slow & initiative service made our experience less enjoyable .
