Go somewhere else, unfortunately our party was pretty much disappointed in the experience. Drinks were really good though. Manager tried making it right by handing out discounts for the next time we visit. We are not going to bother taking a chance again as there are many other places in town that will be glad to accommodate us.

The food here sent my mom to the hospital. She is very, very sick. That day, the service was weird and they were rushing us out within 30 minutes of arriving. Some of the food we got was also very questionable, including the chicken, which we did not eat. Dissapointed in Takeniwa. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Took family and friends (party of 10) for a Friday night dinner. Made reservations ahead of time due to party size. We were promptly seated for Hibachi style dinner at our reserved time. The server was fun and perfectly attentive to our groups needs and requests. The chef put on a great show for us and the food was cooked to perfection! Portion sizes were large- we have plenty of leftovers for a second meal! Overall, a great experience by everyone! Pricing, to include drinks and tip, averaged out to about $50 per person. Will absolutely visit again!Kid-friendliness: Chef was attentive to kids responsiveness to his actions and modified them accordingly to keep them engaged.

For starters the food was horrible did not taste like hibachi food at all. I had to ask the chef to add teriyaki sauce to my food when I had already told the waiter that I wanted teriyaki steak. We were watched by multiple people that worked there the whole entire time while we were. They obviously thought we were going to dine and dash because we're teenagers which was very to assume that based on our age and how we look. My friend that was allergic to seafood told the host, and the waiter that no seafood can touch her food and then when the chef started he put the seafood right next to her food and had to tell the chef again about her allergy. They added their own gratuity to our check because we had a group of 12 but they did not let any of us know about that rule that they had until we got our checks and saw the tip added already. The restrooms were not cleaned properly and there was cleaning stuff left out in the open of the restrooms. The chef squirted everyone with water. One of there little game that they do they tried doing with me after i told them no multiple times, they touched me with a napkin who knows where it had been, but I had to physically push it away from my face for them to stop doing it. Me and my boyfriend food total was almost $115 and we just ordered 2 sodas i got steak w steamed rice and he ordered steak with fried rice. Prices are way too high! Would not recommend this restaurant at all it was absolutely disgusting and I feel bad for anyone who eats their disgusting food.

to start we made it clear someone with our group had a severe seafood allergy and the chef put shrimp, and salmon with her chicken. the bathroom was disgusting the walls were very very dirty and there was cleaning solution in a styrofoam cup in the reach of children. someone's salmon was not cooked properly. and once we got our checks everyones had a already added on tip no one was told about. i 100% do NOT recommend this restaurant for ANYONE.peoples food went from $30 on the menu to over $100 plus on the check with random fees and the tip NO ONE was told about.

Have always loved the food here, but went this weekend and it was terrible. Ordered pad Thai with beef but it had a pork smell to it. The waitress said they don't serve pork so I said maybe it's sauce. Idk. She let me order a different dish. I ordered the angel hair noodles with chicken, which I've had several times, but this was disappointing as well. Noodles were over cooked and they used too much of a sweet sauce. I couldn't taste the chicken or veggies, just sauce. My husband was also disappointed with the basic fried rice. He said it tasted like rice a roni. Maybe they got a new cook, idk but it was just all bad.

Short wait for a table with drinks and appetizers ordered right after being seated. Food served hot right after appetizers are finished. Drinks reserved with fresh glass and ice, empty glass removed. Ordered three entrees for the two of us. Entrees are huge. Food was excellent! Five drinks total. The waitress was very attentive but not intrusive. The expense with the tip was reasonable.
