Been coming to this place since I was a teenager. I like coming to this place because I see the same faces for over 20 years. I'm 38 years old now and this is some of the best food here in Corpus. It's a small place but that's great food. Great people working there as well. I grew up down the street so this is my go-to place. I live on the south side but always drive over here just for the tacos in the morning for breakfast

We come from out of town and our first choice was Hi-Ho restaurant however do to an electric fired everyone was asked to leave. I decided to go to Taqueria El Campo hoping to get good food. The experience was horrible!! I ask for Flautas meal and the flautas was burn !! The beans was old and the chicken looked green and hard like it was rotten and old. The sour cream was rotten and had a terrible smell. The chips wasn't crunchy they were old and soggy. I ask for melon water and it tasted like the melon wasn't good when they made it. Hardly any melon taste it was just pee.color water.. my daughter order chalupas and same chicken was green hard and old. Pineapple water still just pee water color and the restroom had a horrible smell with mold. We end up paying and leaving everything on the table. I took my kids to go eat somewhere else. Even the pancakes tasted nasty!! I don't know how this place still running business and the city hasn't visited them yet.
What a mess! What a soggy mess! I had high hopes for this place because I used to go here say about 15 years ago and their tacos were pretty good but today April 20th 2022 it was just a disappointment. my tortillas were soggy the carne guisada was falling out all over the place my tortillas broke apart in the center. I was charged $0.30 for a 1 oz cup of extra hot sauce I asked for two extra I only got the standard three for the meal. I look at my receipt I was charged 90 cents for three extra hot sauces so I should have had a total of six I only got three. Crispy taco is so so not that great. Enchilada cheese enchilada was dry. and that hot sauce it just has a funny taste to it it is not good at all so it kills the mood here. They need to improve the hot sauce perhaps make it out of jalapeno and just blend it in a blender with that delicious vinegar and there you go you have the best hot sauce in town one of the best hot sauces in town so this place doesn't make the mark cuz they're hot sauce is horrible it's gross.
