I love tropical cafe and I also have never wrote a bad review for any company until today I have never had issues until today I ordered online and the pickup time was 2:05 got there at 2:05 my order was not ready until 2:40 and they only gave me a drink when I ordered a wrap and chips the guy at the front didn’t seem to care at all even the lady next to me said they don’t have it together who ever the manager is hire better hardworking employees also I think one of those employees was under the influence.

I worked there for about a month & 1/2, there is no manager or there so called GM, the GM we had walked out cuz of the pay I left cuz of the pay really 8 dollars and all the work I was doing, when I was told I was getting 10 an hr they got me messed up, also 5 employees left right after that GM left, they never have product cuz there’s no manager to order inventory, all fruit for the smoothies are frozen, the kids that work there will put whatever in ur drink if they are out, don’t order anything with bananas they are brown and soggy, the blonde girl Lydia needs to stop discussing to guests all of TSC problems, someone needs to talk to here about her hygiene and dress code, she is rude to guests and needs to stop telling them her personal problems, Jay ur amazing a problem solver always there to help anyone out she is the one I looked up to, Frieda amazing young lady wish she had stayed there, Louis needs to be more abservant of who his good employees are, the kids that work there spend there time on the phone that’s why the orders take so long, the kids come in and make there own food and don’t even pay for it, this place is so nice they just need the right management to take care of it, GGOD LUCK!

Overpriced and slow service. Ordered online for pickup around 4:56pm. Said order would be ready at 5:06pm. Get there a little after 5pm. It’s 5:20 and it’s just now being given to me. I even tipped $2.

Amazing food and smoothies as always, though the team is ignorant to basic food service etiquette. I don’t have much of a standard but to not acknowledge us as we walked in then wait about 2 minutes before taking my order is rather unwelcoming. Then while taking our order said “that’s a *explicit* bet” in front of my wife that’s when I actually started to feel negative towards the environment. They proceeded to cuss each other other, say rather disgusting things and so on. Very very large failure on the hiring manager as well as the manager who created the environment. If you want good healthy this is definitely the place but just go through drive thru to avoid such awful workers.

All orders were missing ingredients. Ended up just getting a refund. And its weird that they always ask for tip in the drive thru…

we walked in, the blonde girl with the undercut told us it’d be a 10-15 minute wait, didn’t take our orders and then just ignored us for almost 20 minutes, we finally placed our orders online, and waited for another 20 minutes.we finally asked where our orders were and they said that they were out of all bowls, asked us what we wanted to replace it with, i chose a smoothie (with difficulty, they were also out of some ingredients). I paid $10+ for a bowl (I added peanut butter for over $1), a smoothie is $6, and the girl kept insisting that I needed to pay HER $3. I insisted she was wrong because what, and she rolled her eyes at me and got the assistant manager. the AM didn’t know what was going on so I had to explain it to her, and even then she just threw the receipt at me and a couple buy one get one coupons (that are only valid at this location) and ALSO rolled her eyes at me.I’ve been here over an hour, and still have not received my food. tired and late for class. the smoothie tastes like just ice.edit: the chicken pesto was just okay, not worth the trouble

i normally LOVE tropical smoothie but this particular location is horrible with customer service. we walked in not long after opening and they told us it would be a 10 minute wait to take our orders. 20 minutes later they still hadn’t even acknowledged our presence so i just ordered online and then it took them an additional 20 minutes to get my order done (when it was said to only take 10) and one of my friends who had also ordered separately was told they didn’t have any smoothie bowls (somehow forgot to mention that for the previous 40 minutes we had been sitting here waiting) and charged her $3 extra to substitute for a smoothie which is cheaper than the bowl and still charged her and when she was trying to ask why, this irritated blonde girl started rolling her eyes at her and talking to her like she’s stupid. they have a mobile ordering station and yet they don’t even put their mobile orders in there. they hide them in the back behind the counter and just make you sit there and wait because they don’t even realize what’s going on. worst service i’ve ever experience in my life and that’s saying a lot. i highly recommend tropical smoothie, but not this location. you will only get met with attitude and long waits

I’ve been coming here for a while now and it used to be one of my favorite places. Lately the smoothies have been tasting very watery and mainly ice rather than blended properly. I gave it another try today and not only did it take forever, it was watery again and overfilled so the lid popped of and spilled all over my car.I really hope the inconsistency gets sorted out because I do love this place and the service is always nice, just something wrong with the smoothies lately.

I visited yesterday Thursday 2/15/2024 The wrap was terrible, had hardly and chicken on it and the beans had a spoiled taste . The employee who took my order mumbled a lot, I had to ask what he was saying more than once, he was not friendly at all. I ended up throwing most of the food away. Not feeling too well today..needless to say I won’t be back

This was my first time and I got the Buffalo Chicken Wrap w/a pomegranate plunge smoothie plus a little cup of peanut butter for my Trevor! The smoothie was so good, the wrap was okay but filling. As for the service given by Ms. Val from Harlingen, she did great, very sweet young lady, great listener, willing to answer every question I had and she even gave me her honest opinion on the food, great customer service. Overall I was very happy!! Thank you!

Ordered a peanut butter cup smoothie and it tasted like straight up water with a drop of peanut butter… I don’t think peanut water sounds appealing to anyone. Customer service was alright. The kid we ordered with didn’t repeat the order back and was mumbling, so it was difficult to make the order. Because the order wasn’t repeated, they missed a smoothie. We tried getting their attention at the window about the missing smoothie, but they straight up ignored us. This location is not recommended ??.
