USS Lexington Reviews
We took the hard hat tour and I must say it was fascinating, informative, and memorable. Our guide Michael Lochner was a wealth of knowledge and shared the ship’s history, mechanical features, and answered our many questions. Our tour lasted longer, than advertised, because Michael was so very informative. We greatly appreciated his expertise and additional time spent with us. I highly recommend the hard hat tour.👍👍
I took my family of various ages (19-75) from out or state to the Lexington. All were so impressed! We did the SOS Escape room and was Fabulous!! 5 Stars. ' We saved the Ship!'
An experience that will last a lifetime for lovers of history

The USS Lexington is a captivating museum ship that offers a unique and engaging experience for visitors of all ages. This World War II aircraft carrier provides a fascinating glimpse into naval history through its well-preserved exhibits and interactive displays. Visitors can explore the flight deck, vintage aircraft, and immersive simulations, making it a delight for both ship enthusiasts and history buffs.
The museum ship features plenty of fun photo opportunities, a kid-friendly menu, and a well-stocked gift shop, allowing families to spend a whole day exploring its many exhibits. While some areas lack air conditioning and may be hot during the summer, and the ship involves a lot of walking with some narrow and steep stairwells, visitors find the experience rewarding, with many returning to see new exhibits and improvements over the years.
The staff is friendly, and the self-guided tours allow visitors to explore at their own pace. Visitors can also enjoy reasonably priced and tasty meals at the Mess Deck cafe, spending about 2.5 hours exploring and learning about history. Many leave with a deeper appreciation for the efforts of those who served, describing it as an incredible experience.
