Very informative place , staffs were friendly. Its a real warship and the museum was fun to tour.
No complaints. It was much more of an actual museum than I was expecting. I thought it was just a ship to walk around on (based on the USS Texas). But no, actual themed museum. I always wish I could explore more parts of the actual ship.
Took this tour for the 3rd time in 25 years
We have been members off and on over many years. Still feel like a kid when we hit the flight deck. Takes your breath away every time.
Visiting the USS Lexington in Corpus Christi was an unforgettable experience. The ship is massive and full of history, with well-preserved exhibits and interactive sections. One of the highlights was meeting Richard in the engine room he took the time to explain how the carrier operated and shared fascinating personal anecdotes. Talking with him truly brought the ship to life and made the visit even more special. If you're in the area, don’t miss this piece of naval history and the chance to meet passionate people like Richard.
It's really good, but a small carrier. I didn't leave with much information about what this particular shop did... But I saw several planes on the deck.. no clue if those planes ever flew from this ship. They had a VERY large portion of the exhibit dedicated to women in space and military... But it kind of seemed irrelevant mostly .. except that the Lexington was the first us naval ship with any women as crew.
The elevator was not working.
We stopped after a weekend on Port Aransas.
This is awesome. Every plane, every compartment, every soul who served...I am in Awe. What an incredible legacy in so many ways. We are very fortunate to grow up and live in country where overcoming adversity is part of our Heritage. We need to reignite those embers and feed the fire of challenging...this time ourselves, for the very reason of the incredible things we do when threatened...when we learn to do this, we will truly become the greatness realized God sees in us before time began.
We are the bright shining City on the Hill and stand up on the shoulders of people giant in spirit....engineers, laborers, seamen, teachers, farmers aviators, officers, inventor's, stratagest, mother's, Father's, sister's, brothers all United under the canopy of and upon the land and sea of God's Creation.
Everything you see now, came from the ground and God's provision, under God's protection, the Spirit of America is the Spirit of David, who God loved.
This exhibit is a testament. That is what I experienced and did not expect. I am truly grateful.
Great experience! There is a lot to learn not only about this ship, but a few others as well as about the crews that lived aboard. Note that while walking through the below decks, there are a few rooms that are very cold, which I would think would be a good break in between on the hotter days. It does take a good amount of time to walk and to listen/read everything.
Very interesting to come back after about 15 years since the last visit. Many improvements and a lot to see. A few new exhibits and most definitely a great place to cool off while learning something new! Loved going through Tour 4, 1 and 5. We will have to make it a point to try out 2 and 3. We also saw they have escape rooms and a few other novelties which caught out interest as well! Staff was friendly.

SO FUN AND UNIQUE!
Kinda hot in some parts of ship but other than that very well kept museum.
First time checking out this amazing ship, and it was worth it. I even did the escape room and it was a lot of fun.
Great experience. Photo is from our beachfront view at the Doubletree hotel walking distance away.
Fun and educational, also it's fun to say poop deck.
Awesome !
