We came here with a party of 6 (including two young kids) and were really impressed by the food! We got the specials at the time, which were excellent. My salmon with a wasabi cream sauce was amazing, and the kids enjoyed their shrimp and mashed potatoes. The only thing to keep in mind is that this is all made fresh and might take a while to come out, but our waiter was great and kept them topped off on bread and butter until our dishes arrived.

40 years ago I courted my wife here @ the Yard Arm Corpus Christi. 2 grown Children & 7 Grandchildren later, we have come back. Constantine & Diane haven't changed a bit ( along with this super cute, cozy, quaint atmosphere ) . . . as we had before, we shared Oysters Rockefeller, Blue Crab Stuffed Mushrooms, Clam Chowder, and the special Seared Tuna. For Dessert we had the Creme Brule. The Service was great & everything was absolutely perfect. The Yard Arm Restaurant will stay in our hearts as one of the many things we love about Corpus Christi.Wheelchair accessibility: Available

Thought foodies might like to see the updated menu as of 4/5/24 so there will not be any surprises from the previous posted menu.

First and foremost, the service at this place is second to none, imo. Been twice over three last 3 months and had two different female servers. Both servers were excellent! The ambiance is awesome as well. One of the last old-school places still around. Tons of history and character in there. Romantic, charming place as well. The complaint I have is with the price of the specials. Last nite my g-friend ordered the red snapper special. I didn't even ask for the price when she ordered, because that question always insulates, 'you cheapskate'. We got the bill and her fish was $55?! I cldn't believe it. Here we are, steps from the bay/ocean, where the snapper is readily caught and available, and they wanna charge $55. No way....We go to New Orleans often, considered by many as the top seafood town in the US. The highest rated restaurant in NO, Commanders Palace, dsn't charge more than $40 for any of their fish dishes. Neither does Clancy's, another NO institution. Therefore, neither should Yardarm. Shame on them for that..(And btw, the red snapper special was just ok). That said, the shrimp Dejonge at Yardarm is such an interesting, incredible dish imo. The homemade crab cakes are great as well. I will def go back just for those. Therefore I wld recommend this restaurant, but my advice is to not order the specials.

Unbelievable place! Highly recommend it! The service was amazing and we felt at home. The owners are very kind people who share their love for what they do in every dish.We had the specials which were very tasty and the soup entrees and salad were also very delicious. Would definitely come back!!!

I am incredibly disappointed with this place. After much excitement having read the reviews online, we tried to go last week. We called and made a reservation for 5:30 for 4 people but ended up running a little late. We called to see if we could push the reservation by 30 minutes and the hostess on the phone actually said "Jesus, try to make it by 5:30!" Not off to a good start but we hurried and arrived by 5:42. Upon arrival the place was empty. The hostess (elderly woman, very grumpy and unpleasant) refused to sit us anywhere in the place other than next to the kitchen. She was so rude that we ended up leaving without even sitting down. Given that we live within walking distance, congratulations on losing customers and possibly ongoing business. If she leaves, we will be back, but for the time being it is impossible to support and establishment with such poor customer service.

We had reservations for six for a birthday gathering. Food was excellent, I had the Salmon and several had the Pecan crusted snapper. This was my first time and we will definitely go back. Service was excellent!!

Closed it in February 6. In case you’re wanting to go. Note on the door.

A must stop if you're looking for a place that's not a chain. Great selection of wines to go with their amazing food. Just like going over to your grandparents house for Sunday dinner. Great view of the Corpus Christi Bay from inside or on their deck. Can't wait for my next trip down to take more friends there.

While visiting friends, we visited the Yardarm to enjoy seafood that one can only get on the coast. Alas, it did not go well. Honestly, the cozy setup and view of the water would otherwise make it a super date-night restaurant, but lackluster food, limited selection, and the distraction of the owners bickering among themselves. For context and clarity, it is mid-October, and when I ordered oysters on the half-shell, I was told that they "haven't had oysters all season". Five of the menu items are oyster dishes and, if it had been "all season" or more than a few days of a supply issue, it would be appropriate to give a notification (a sign, covering the menu selection, etc.). I also wouldn't use the term "ceviche" to describe what was brought out, either. I really think that somewhere, someone in the organization has a vision and ideas that could be wonderful, but something else prevents their blossoming. The lady of the house (owner) spent her time, huffing and complaining to a staff member (maybe a son or relative), scowling, and marching sporadically through the dining area. Mind you, she was making no effort to hide it. She wasn't loud, but it was enough to be uncomfortable.

This is definitely a Corpus Christi hidden gem right on the water. It doesn't look like much on the outside, but inside is charming. The food is excellent. It's a little on the pricey side but so worth it. Everything we had from the crab stuffed mushrooms to the red fish special was out of this world delicious! We made another reservation to come back as we were leaving.

If you had only one place to eat and one meal to do it choose the Yardarm. Amazing food.
