I have never been as disappointed in eatery than today. Not only did it take them almost 45 minutes for my order, but the worst is waiting for a COLD sandwich?! If I knew it would be a cold sandwich, then I would choose another sandwich. What really made me angry was waiting 45 minutes on a cold sandwich and I was even given a cup for a drink until after I brought it up as I was waiting for my food. The place was not packed, so there is NO excuse to make anyone wait 45 minutes on a COLD sandwich! I will not return and I warn everyone to not waste your money here.

So I drove out to this location due to a recommendation and was very disappointed after driving back to Red Oak. I ordered a dozen chocolate chip cookies and the 3 I tied were very hard and stale so the box is just sitting in my kitchen to be trashed. I was interested in the sandwich shop but I may have to venture out there and give them another try some other day.

Their sandwiches and soup are pretty good. I'm personally from the South, and most of the desserts and sides they offer aren't well-seasoned, dry, flavorful, and pretty bland. They're very minimally flavorful, and they do not have the best chicken salad in the world AT ALL... although their tuna salad is pretty okay. We made a pit stop on our way through Texas for a quick bite. The food took way too long for us just ordering two cold sandwiches. Most of the sandwiches do not come with any sauce. The service is very good, and it's a very spacious establishment with pretty clean bathrooms. I have a huge sweet tooth and wanted to try their free samples of pecan bread and fruitcake, and just by the samples alone, I was confident in not trying any more desserts they offered because they were not good.

It would be better if they didn't have such an old school system of paying for your items.

Well, I've run into some pretty hard times and I know my appearance isn't very appealing. But as I was walking down the highway from Houston to telephone tx. I saw your place. I'd heard about it. I needed some bread and found a loaf of bacon bread. I purchased that and two oatmeal raisin cookies. None of the employees snubbed me and I actually felt human again for a while. I'm really lucky to have wifi today. Cause your message made me remember that. That was the best bread I've had in 58 yrs. Thank you.

The chicken salad is made from precooked bag chicken. The weird texture kind that is off colored. Definitely not worth the hype or wait.

Love this place! I stop every time I drive between Houston and Dallas and it never disappoints. NEVER. The chocolate pound cake, lemon bar, chocolate chip cookies with walnuts and nugget cookies are some of my favorites.

The food was sadly disappointing. Low flavor and poor meat portions in sandwich. I really wanted this to be good. But none of us could eat our meals.
