“The restaurant is self-seating, and when you first walk in, it feels a little dingy and could use some attention. Unfortunately, the service didn’t make a great first impression either. The staff was standing around and didn’t acknowledge guests as they entered, and we had to wait a while before someone finally came to take our drink order.

That said, the food more than made up for the slow start. I ordered the chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes and mac & cheese, and everything was absolutely delicious. The chicken was cooked perfectly, and the sides were flavorful and satisfying. Despite the lackluster service and atmosphere, the food did not disappoint. I’ll definitely be back—for the food alone.”

Parking: Can be difficult finding parking spot since it gets busy. Get there early”

“This Golden Chick in Cotulla, Texas is the nicest, cleanest and most maintained restaurant that I have seen anywhere!! The food was awesome!! The service was awesome!! The atmosphere was awesome!! Hands DownI 100% this was the best lunch ever!! I usually get drive thru
but today I ate inside. Drive thru is always awesome too!! Always polite, fast & orders always correct!!

“Me and my husband were standing in line, then a whole bunch of people came out of nowhere and stood in line…the lady taking our order only took my husbands (I was upset cause I was clearly next) but instead she stared taking the orders of the next group of people…instead the other employee ended up taking my order and charged us for just one sandwich instead of two.
That was very generous of that lady- I used to work fast food so I understand the stress (especially when a whole group of people come swarming inside and get in line) both lady’s were nice I was just a little annoyed she skipped my order. Other than that the service was very fast and both girls are a doing great job 😊”
