New to this area (came from Houston) the food is amazing, with great service! BUT I’ve been eating CRAWFISH my whole life and I have Louisiana Cajun roots and the CRAWFISH was the best I’ve ever had! Great size, but ultimately the MOST SPICY I’ve ever had!!! 😃🥵😮💨 (The way I ordered it!!!) lol They make to order every batch according to what you can handle! Molcajete Mexican Bar and Grill is an awesome and authentic Mexican restaurant, considered a hidden gem and one of the best in East Texas. The food is delicious, beautiful, high quality, and incredibly delicious and filling. Specific dishes receive high praise: the Tacos Al Carbon with carnitas, the molcajete, the Rinconcito, fajitas, Barrio tacos, and enchiladas are all reported as excellent. The excellent beans, salsa, and queso are also highlighted. Service is described as excellent, attentive, and top-notch, though occasionally slightly disorganized. The chefs take great pride in the fantastic food. Many portions are so filling that they provide leftovers for the next day. It is a wonderful restaurant that the local community can be proud of.
