Straight Off the Road BBQ Reviews
Hubby and I came and got Chicken fried steak. Steak the size of the plate, absolutely delicious. Our waitress, Bailey, was absolutely adorable! Great sense of humor, great attention and great service. Atmosphere was awesome as well; classic country bops playing the whole time. This will be a regular date night for us!
First timers and it’s pretty darn good… we will definitely be back. The plates and sandwiches are very well portioned. All the staff was very friendly and welcoming we had an overall great experience..
I really like their chicken fried steak and chicken salad, it’s very good. The service when I placed my order over the phone was short and very rude. I mentioned it to the cashier when I picked up my order and she pointed the lady who took my order. The lady walked up to us and questioned our concern and when I told her she just looked at us with a smug look and turned away and walked off. Even more rude than taking my order. Straight Off the Road BBQ is a hidden gem worth the trip, offering a delicious brisket plate with pinto beans and coleslaw. The brisket is moist and flavorful, with a nice smoke ring, and the pulled pork sandwich is huge, hot, and juicy, making it a standout. The beans may be too spicy for some, but the creamy, cheesy mac and cheese is one of the best ever—tastes homemade and very cheesy. The restaurant has a large, cozy atmosphere, and the staff are friendly and welcoming, making the dining experience enjoyable. High chairs and booster seats are available for kids. The place is clean and inviting, though parking may be limited. The BBQ is described as a carnivorous ballet, with ribs and brisket stealing the show, and the local flavor adds an extra touch. Portions are huge, and prices are very reasonable, offering good value for money. New diners may feel a bit rushed at first, but the amazing service and food keep customers coming back for more. Overall, the food is delicious and satisfying, making this BBQ joint a must-try for anyone seeking true Texan flavors, whether they are locals or visitors.
