Love this place! The owners and staff are always so friendly and nice to visit with. And the food is amazing! Brisket, shrimp and crawfish ettoufe, sweet potato souffle, beans and cornbread, pulled pork sandwiches, bbque meatloaf and the best chicken fried steak. Literally everything is good. I recommend it all!

This restaurant is a true gem for down-home cooking! Every bite was absolutely delicious, and the prices are almost unbelievable—you feel like you’re getting the deal of a lifetime. The brisket was perfectly tender, the ribs were fall-off-the-bone good, and the BBQ overall was top-notch. You have to try the sweet potato souffle; it’s rich, flavorful, and downright unforgettable. The portions are generous, and everything is packed with flavor. Don’t skip the peach cobbler—it’s hands-down the best I’ve ever had. We’re already planning our next trip from Brownwood because this place is worth every mile!

We are from Tennessee and traveling and were looking for some good Texas BBQ and we found Bubba’s in Cross Plains Tx. Let me tell you this place is awesome . The owner is named Eva and she is amazing. She treated me and my girlfriend like we were family. Now on to the food, we got the brisket,ribs and chicken and let me tell you if you are looking for authentic texas bbq this is the place. My girlfriend got the sweet potato soufflé and she loved it. I got potato salad and coleslaw and let me tell you the coleslaw is to die for. I never liked anyone coleslaw but my mother’s but this place is a close 2nd. I would definitely recommend anyone that is in Texas and looking for some great food and wanting to meet some great people this is the place. We will definitely make a trip back here just to talk with Eva and eat some delicious food

If you are interested in getting off the interstate and driving down rt 36 you will bump into a small town called Cross Plains and in that town is Bubba’s smokehouse. I will tell you that this place is the place to stop at to have a meal. The food is amazing the service is good and I just love the atmosphere. This is a must stop for bbq

Everything was delicious! Coleslaw so good, the pulled pork sandwich was so tender wonderful flavor and the barbecue sauce is out of this world!! Friendly? Will definetely be back …oh and that sweet tea
