“Mexico City Cafe in Cross Plains, TX, impressed me. They have a large menu with Tex-Mex, and American food. There are also a bunch of breakfast items. We were there for a late lunch so I'm not sure if breakfast is served all day or not. I had a Chile Relleno plate and it was excellent. It was nice to be able to get just one relleno; it filled me up nicely. Definitely a place to visit again!”

“My Grandpa and I have been eating at Jean’s for over 20 years. These people are family to us. They’ve always taken care of me, always smiling and saying hello every time we walk in. And Jean…she’s one of the hardest working women you’ll ever meet. She’s 80+ years old and still back there flipping burgers and cooking my chicken fajitas for dinner. Not many people built like that anymore.”

“Our caterer backed out on us 3 months before our wedding and we were in a panic! Shawn, the owner of Backwoods Texas Style Grill, swooped in and handled everything with professionalism that brought ease to all our worries. They catered our wedding of 100+ people. The food was delicious and all of our plates were stacked. I cannot recommend them enough! I had some guest stop me and tell me it was the best wedding meal they’d ever had. Please consider them for any of your catering or dining needs, they will not disappoint!”

“We ate at DQ in Cross Plains, TX. I had a chicken taco salad which was delicious. The young woman who took our order was super friendly and helpful. The only issue we had was that the dining room was pretty cold.”
