“Wonderful people that make amazing food! The brisket tacos are one of my favorites and the sweet and spicy chicken with fried rice and wontons are SO GOOD! Fast and very friendly service.”
“4.7 review rating for a great reason; it’s that good. I’ve never had any bad dish or bad service here. Catfish, chicken fried steak (hand battered) and burgers are incredible. I’ve been told they have the best steaks around.”
“The DQ here is great for a quick break. If you’re in a hurry, it’s best to call ahead as they prepare your order fresh. This is by far the cleanest DQ I’ve ever visited.”
“We found Scotty’s on our drive home to Central Texas from New Mexico…and we are sure glad we did as this place was a wonderful pit stop on a long drive home. A big factor was seeing the nice outdoor area with tables, shade and a place for our dog. But beyond that, the food and service was quite fantastic and made us happy that we didn’t stop in Lubbock or Abilene as planned. Both the sliders and Scotty’s chili spaghetti were absolutely delicious and great portions. The drink menu looked great as well and my husband enjoyed being able to get an Axis IPA on tap. The owner is very welcoming and the service was good as well. We meet some wonderful friends over dinner in Stephanie and Cindi. This stop was just what we needed and a reminder just how much we love good small town Texas. Looking forward to exploring Coleman more and stopping back by Scotty’s the next time we make our way out west.”
“Luckily, we missed a turn and drive an extra few blocks which allowed us to see the sign for the Cattle Drive Cafe. With so many pick-up trucks parked out front at lunchtime, we knew it was worth a try. We were not disappointed. From the hostess greeting is with a big smile (and crayons & coloring menu for our toddler), to our server Darlene, and everyone else, we felt welcomed in a friendly atmosphere. Darlene took time to answer all of our menu questions, even checking with the kitchen for a specific inquiry. The burgers were big, juicy, and full of flavor. We were fortunate to have enjoyed an excellent lunch at the Cattle Drive Cafe. When we travel back through Coleman County this will be on our list again! Stop in for some Texas hospitality and a great meal, too!Parking: Diagonal pull-in street parking out front, plenty of parking for the what lunch crowd.Kid-friendliness: Staff was very friendly with our toddler. Decent items on the kids menu, or just share a burger with Mom.”
“Found this gem just traveling through! Very friendly and nice staff! Ordered Curry Chicken, Chicken fried rice, Shrimp and Broccoli, and Hot and Spicy Chicken and everything was very good! The kids loved the rice. We will make a stop here again the next time we are traveling through!”
“First time to visit this lovely place!! The COFFEE, BAKED GOODS and a friendly service with a smile ? was definitely a great way to start the day! THANK YOULooking forward to coming back soon!!”
“My family stopped in for dinner. I had the catfish and my husband had a chicken fry. This restaurant is small and the bathroom is outside on the back of the building. If you can get past that, you will love it. You can tell the regulars eat here. Our waitress knew everyone who came in and drove though the drive through. The food was very homestyle and delicious. We will be back.”
“Pizza was top notch. Mimosas were to die for. Service was 10/10. We arrived a little later than we wanted and they were so sweet. Our sever was great. I would recommend this place to anyone that comes to this area. We had the jalapeño popper pizza and it was the best pizza I have ever had!”
“Best little roadside bar in Texas. The owners are top notch people. Locals are friendly. Music is always good. And the Crawfish Boil they host annually the first Saturday in April is the best I have ever tasted and hard to beat. If you're ever passing thru Coleman, stop in and see Danny & Debbie. You won't be disappointed. They are great. Excellent pit stop for a motorcyclist out on a cruise to rest a bit and relax with a cold one.”
“The pitmaster and owner came out to talk to us, awfully nice fellow. I Had the brisket and sausage and potato salad. Wasn't mad, the brisket was moist, and flavorful. I didn't need sauce. Sausage was smoked just right. I had a little difficultly understanding where to go to order, and the drink situation. Other than that, it holds its own as a spot for bbq in a small townVegetarian options: That ain't happening hereParking: A little tight but easy enough”
“The food is melt in your mouth - Delicious! Love the atmosphere-football on all tv's & full barJosie Wells was our waitress both times - top notch service!!Our first visit was at Christmas- we drove over to Coleman to shop downtown and decided to eat at the cattle drive. We went back last night. The "cowboy sushi" - our new favorite appetizer.Worth the drive from anywhere!! Our new favorite place to eat. Go in hungry come out full with leftovers to eat later!”
“Great little quiet dinner on Saturday night. I had burrito and wife nachos. But good. Salsa was good but could be hotter. They have a big selection of both Mexican & American food. Our server was quick and got everything ee needed correct.”
“We were traveling with two other couples who enjoy wine, and RLV in Coleman did not disappoint. There was a wine to suit everyone's tastes. We lounged on the comfy sofas by the fireplace and had a wonderful afternoon. The tasting room has a rustic, industrial, modern feel with the most beautiful photography by a local artist featured throughout the space. The Toro was my personal favorite wine.”
“Formerly a Mexican Cuban restaurant they have now converted to a Burger and Wing restaurant. And while that sounds like an odd progression they have absolutely nailed it. The service was great. They behaved as though they were genuinely happy we were there. One of us has an allergy and the server was attentive in making sure the dish was prepared appropriately and advised us on what sauces , etc. to avoid. You order at the counter and choose your own seat inside or outside. There is a large selection of sweet and unsweetened teas available! My husband described the double bacon burger as one of the best he has ever eaten. The wings and spiced pickles were great. It can get kinda of loud here. Only thing I would change would be a real fork for my salad instead of a plastic one.”
“Every positive word to this establishment. You ladies cook the best food. I have told everyone about the enchiladas. My husband and brother in law eat here often and love it. So do I. If your in Colman Texas during the week . Go eat here , you will not regret it. Many thank you's”
“Ordered on the app and when I got there I was told they were out of the sauce I wanted. Normally wouldn’t be a big deal but I really wanted the sauce. Lady was super nice and refunded me since I didn’t want it anymore. Not her fault the app doesn’t know they are out.”
“We love stopping at this Sonic. The people are always pleasant and they are conscientious of our dietary restrictions. The hamburgers always taste fresh and look beautiful. This time we tried the pickle fries and they were quite tasty.”
“Everything was great and the price for the all you can eat fish can't be beat. I had just the fish plate not the all you can eat and it was more then enough, but if I wanted more she would've changed my order to the all you can eat.”
