“Stopped here on a trip out to west Texas to grab some food. My husband and i were so impressed. The beet salad was fresh and had tons of flavor. The sourdough bread came out hot and was soooo amazing. My husband got the beef bulgogi and I got the cold ramen. Both were so great with tons of flavor. We both agreed we would definitely come back again.”

Dragon rolls, Spicy salmon rolls, Crab Rangoon, seaweed salad Cowboy Roll and miso soup were all delicious and fresh. The service was friendly and prompt. We called ahead for a group of 6-8 and enjoyed a great atmosphere and meal on a Saturday afternoon.”

“I had the pleasure of eating here today with my mom (in a wheelchair) and dad … right away on entering the restaurant, our sweet server Lisa jumped in to action to get the doors for us, then after ordering she helped us get my mom settled in at the table and made sure we were comfy. During our meal she was most attentive and helpful, ensuring we had everything we needed in the way of drinks, condiments, etc. The food was outstanding! Their fried green tomatoes are definitely (in my opinion) the best in Brownwood, not to mention the best price near and far! Everything I or my family have had on the menu so far has been top notch as far as quality, great value for the price, portion size, being piping hot when it’s brought out, and all the other factors that make for a great meal. If you haven’t already tried Sam’s Southern Eatery in Brownwood, what are you even doing? Go for your next meal if you’re able to! You won’t regret it!”

“I really love this place. The employees are always so nice and friendly to me. I especially love that they even put chocolate on their normal glazed donuts. It makes it even more tasteful.
They even will occasionally give me a donut for my dog as well as a bag of donut holes. They have honored some of my requests on like adding something more on donuts and cinnamon rolls.
My dad knows them and has gone there for years and now I go there.
I highly recommend this place!! You won’t be disappointed and you will be greeted by such nice people!”

“This was a very nice Subway. We stopped in and got our regular Black Forest ham on asagio cheese bread. They had quick service and great food! The restaurant was nice and clean. I would certainly recommend a stop in if you need a quick lunch or supper!”

This top tier establishment is a hidden gem of Brownwood and worth a stop if you’re driving through.A/C is lacking but the sweat dripping into your food just adds another layer of complexity into your dish. The flies keep you alert as you fight them for your food. You will never be bored at this delicatessen.”

“We’re not from around Brownwood, but today we were passing through. A friend told me Freddy’s was solid so we figured we’d give it a try.

I seriously don’t write reviews often, but this time it needs to be done.

The food was good. No complaints whatsoever, chicken and burger were both up to our satisfaction. The dessert treat was on another level, it’s probably good there isn’t a location within an hour of my house or I’d be there every day.

Last but certainly not least, Crystal was the best employee / manager I think I’ve ever seen. She put a smile on my face within about 10 seconds of stepping in the door. Knowledgeable (not only about the menu but also about the town), has great jokes, and she gets stuff done. Her team got the food out quick and said my order number where I could actually hear.

So seriously— I’m happy with the food, but I’m a sucker for Whataburger. Nevertheless, if I’m coming through Brownwood, or anywhere in the vicinity, I’m coming back to Freddy’s.”

“There's only room for two people to work behind the counter, so if they're busy, expect to wait awhile for your beverage.
I love that the grocery deli is right nearby. Honestly, Starbucks needs to team up with more restaurants or deli's. Starbucks' menu offerings are way too heavy on the carbs/bread, or just a dessert. A burger or a couple drumsticks with a Starbucks' frappucino is da' bomb.
The sit-down Starbucks location 1/2 mile east has more personable staff, imho, but this location probably doesn't have as many specific daily regulars.”

Marissa ( employee) is amazing!! She goes the extra mile by smiling and calling you by name when you walk in. She has also offered to carry my order to the car for me ( I went inside, not drive through), because she noticed I wasn’t walking well.
THAT SWEET YOUNG LADY NEEDS A BIG RAISE, and no , I had never met her until I became a customer.

“Delicious snow cones and great hours but the young blonde girl working is there extremely slow every time we come here. Very frustrating to wait 30 minutes in the heat when it is not even busy. Also puts entirely much syrup in the cups, it spills out the sides when you pick it up!”

“This is pretty standard Chinese American food. I went a fair bit when I was in college in Brownwood and it was a cheap, reliable place to get some classic Chinese American food. Nothing fancy; good portions. Not sure what prices are these days but it's a solid 4!”
