“After a very underwhelming meal elsewhere, we stumbled into Smittys desperately needing some good food. It was absolutely incredible, probably the best brisket I have ever had. The cobbler was great too, and service was incredible. If I’m ever in the area again, I will definitely be heading back. Cannot recommend enough!”
“My wife and I enjoyed every part of our experience! The service was wonderful, the atmosphere was great and the food was exceptional!! Highly recommended!! Shiann was a delight!!”
“Our group of 11 went during spring break for lunch & we had a great experience! The food was delicious, they accommodated our group of 7 kids combined & the service was awesome. Will go back anytime we pass through Brownwood!”
“Miss Pia & Solpak & family care about all their customers, & are always polite & caring. They aim to please. Their food is very delicious & their service is good, & even their children are polite. Have dined in as well as taken out. Those with whom I have broken bread with there have enjoyed dinning in as well as take out too. .”
“For a lunch experience it was pleasantly pleasing. They offer a plethora of drinks for the craft beer lover as well as the craft soda lover. The pepperoni pizza was delivered within a few minutes and it was mouth watering. We will definitely return again!”
“I come here every time I pass through Brownwood. It’s very meat centric, so if you’re not into meat, it may not be for you. My favorites are the pink potato salad, rolls, and their cobbler. This visit I bought the little cup of honey butter for $.89. It rocked! I could make a meal out of those three and forget the meat. The service is out of this world. They roll little trolleys through the dining room to refill your drinks, give you take out containers, napkins, and anything you want. Even whip cream for your cobbler.”
“I had the small ribeye. Ordered the steak medium rare. It Wes a bit closer to medium. It had flavor, just not as much as I prefer. Not the best nor the worst that I have had.My father- in- law had the fish. It was great, I tried a bite. My wife had the chicken fried steak. The meat was overly thin, and she said, "it was like leather. The sides and said bar were great!Great service!Wheelchair accessibility: Mother-in-law uses a scooter. She easily maneuvered through the dining area.”
“So glad I stopped by this restaurant while visiting town for a couple of days!! The owner is such a genuine and humble lady. She welcomes everyone with a smile and such great hospitality. She doesn’t have her food menu on the board so you just have to ask what she has for the day. She does have her list of drinks though like boba and smoothies. The first day I had her pancit which came with 4 pieces of Lumpia and they were Amazing!! I ended up going back before she closed that day and ordered the same order To-Go and a few of my favorite Filipino snacks from her store. The second day I had her Pork Adobo with rice and a side of Lumpia and it was also delicious. She and her restaurant/store definitely deserves more recognition Without a Doubt. Will definitely be coming back in the future.”
“Fairly new to Brownwood and this is the first Mexican food place that I have found that is good. It's better than good it's excellent! Had the street tacos with pork and the salsa, two kinds, was homemade and delicious. Will definitely tell all my friends and be back. It's a food trailer with picnic tables and very laid back.”
“The Herb Zucchini is fabulous! I was pleasantly surprised by the raspberry turkey sandwich. The rosemary roadted potatoes were so good; I just wish the pieces were slightly larger. And the Lasagna soup is must try.”
“Do not pass up this establishment! We were just traveling through town and stopped in. Curb appeal had us sceptical and man were we wrong. Excellent friendly service and the pad kee mao was amazing with the perfect amount of spice and a HUGE portion. The owner Tim came out and had a nice conversation with us and is the sweetest woman. I will be returning any time I am in the area. Go check it out you will not be disappointed!!”
“Gave this place another chance, was greeted by the owner and witnessed how she greeted all who entered. Informed her of the last visit, and she gave me the contact info to inform the company of the app issues that I was having. Guy I spoke with was Anthony - he was so totally awesome. Then on this same day & visit, I spoke with Clayton & Lita who both waited on me and what great service. Food was great, service was awesome, the restaurant is SO CLEAN, INCLUDING THE RESTROOM. THANKS TO THE OWNER AGAIN FOR ALL YOUR HELP. I will be back and I did enjoy my birthday brownie & milk. Written 2/22/2024All was good but the size portion of the biscuit for the price I paid was good. Plus the website has some problems. Otherwise the food taste great and crew was fast and nice. WRITTEN 2/21/2024Wheelchair accessibility: Parking is easy.”
“they're always packed full, but service is fast, friendly and competent. the food is great and very affordableWheelchair accessibility: there's no step up to the entrance at all and the women's restroom is big enough for a wheelchair. the tables are really close together, but I'm sure the staff would arrange it, if someone needed them to if the customers didn't do it already, even. it's a very neighborly atmosphere.”
“To find a GOOD sushi restaurant in Texas, is like finding a diamond in a coal mine. Our meals have always been top quality at Katana. We try to go at least once a month. Weve had it as take away, but it's still better fresh. Can't wait for our next visit. Best Japanese food for hundreds of miles.”
“Very great niche restaurant. My husband and I both had soups and sandwiches that were perfect! If you're looking for something different and want to be adventurous-- come here! One of the best spots in Brownwood!”
