The Turtle is my new favorite place to go! This is definitely Brownwood's hidden gem. Everything is made from scratch and the you can tell the chef is proud of her work. The cappalacci was AMAZING. The quality of the food and drinks at The Turtle matches up with almost any upscale restaurant around. I've lived in New Orleans and Washington, DC, and eaten at many good restaurants. The Turtle is the real deal. The prices are what you should expect to pay for the quality. They make wicked cocktails, have a great wine menu, and the food is absolutely top notch. I've eaten here twice in the last two weeks on my way to and from Austin. I'll definitely be back again.

We've been to Italy, and this rated up there with the gelato we had in Italy. We had the merino cherry, the chocolate, and the peach cobbler, which was the flavor of the week. Yum!
