“Wow, just wow. The drinks, service , ambience, atmosphere were over the top . Food was delicious, and served piping hot out of the kitchen. That is rare to find a place like that. What a treat Highly recommend.

“First time at The Turtle and man I was impressed! They accommodated our group of 8 on a short notice in the evening. The appetizers and entrees impeccable. Easily Top 2-3 steaks that I have ever had, cooked to perfection, tender and juicy. Drinks were fairly priced and the Old Fashioneds were great. Cannot stress enough how impressed I was with the food, presentations, and atmosphere. A hidden gem for sure!“

“We live in between brownwood and Abilene & we pick the chillis in brownwood EVERYTIME! Food is always fresh and hot and they give you a lot! I had a smash burger from brownwood chillis and it was huge and so fresh! I had the smash burger from Abilene chillis and it looked like a regular burger. So chillis in brownwood is where it’s at! The servers are always so nice too! It always clean and just really my favorite place to go!“

“It’s been hit or miss but when they hit - omg it’s out of the park! So yummy! I love the spicy tenders. The flavor is perfect ? the fries are the best of anywhere. The gravy is so so so delicious! Fried okra is good too. The fish is what I haven’t had much luck with though unfortunately. I wish it was good. It’s either too salty or old and hard and inedible. I’ve tried it twice and haven’t had luck. Sticking with the spicy tenders meal!“
