“Wut a delicious lil hole in the wall we found here! Omg, the owners R just adorable...hubby cookin, wife, waiting on tables. But do u dare walk down the long ,dark, mysterious, haunted hallway 2 the bathroom alone??? It is said that a murdered cowboys spirit roams this building....I certainly felt the vibe but the food was delish & the stories delightful! So glad GPS took us off the trail...so worth it! (enter Vincent Price laugh....fading into The Good, the Bad & the Ugly theme song)“
“Really nice place to eat. And the staff is super sweet and service is impeccable. Food is really good and atmosphere is clean and "all around good for everyone. Whether you bring you're family, friends, or teammates, you won't be disappointed. Definitely recommend and will definitely make a another visit. ?????“
“Good food. Had the quiche, salad with strawberry vinaigrette, and strawberry fluff. It was wonderfully delicious. The inside is lovely. They did a wonderful job of bringing back the original stain glass and wood. I don't think this place is called the soda shop, but it's called the sandwich shop. It's on the town square right at the corner. Would come back again if we were in the area.“
“This place was so charming--the couple who run it were so delightful! The food was also great--after several days of indulging in Texas bbq, our California stomachs were ready for something light and fresh. The strawberry salad with feta and almonds was delicious, and I loved the vinaigrette--it was the homemade version of what that weird red "French dressing" that I hated as a kid was apparently trying to be! So good! The lettuce wraps with chicken salad and bacon were also fantastic, as was the creamy Italian sausage soup. Endless amounts of iced tea rounded everything out, and I was sad we didn't have time to try the crepes. If I ever find myself in Ballinger, TX again I will definitely be back!“
