Good food
It's fantastic I'm just so very sad they aren't open for lunch anymore. Can't get there after 4pm boo hoo
This is pretty standard Chinese American food. I went a fair bit when I was in college in Brownwood and it was a cheap, reliable place to get some classic Chinese American food. Nothing fancy; good portions. Not sure what prices are these days but it's a solid 4!

China Cafe is a simple, family-owned restaurant serving tasty Chinese food with a smile. Despite its humble appearance, the food is great, and the staff is always pleasant. The menu offers a variety of options, including the popular sesame chicken and wontons. The restaurant opens at 4 pm, so lunch specials are not available, and some menu items like BBQ pork ribs and BBQ roast pork are no longer offered, with only terryaki chicken on a stick remaining among appetizers. It mainly functions as a take-out place, but there is some seating if customers want to stay or are staying in a hotel. The service is friendly, and the portions are well-sized, perfect for those who come hungry. The food is consistently delicious, with crunchy, fresh vegetables and flavorful, easy-to-chew meat, prepared with recipes unique to this place. Prices are reasonable, offering good value for the amount of food. Although it can feel busy inside and the ambiance is casual, many customers consider China Cafe the best Chinese food spot in town. Overall, it remains a convenient choice for ordering tasty Chinese food to take home or enjoy on the spot.
