Food 5 stars, management behavior 1 star = average 3 stars. We ate here for the 2nd time today and once again the food was phenomenal. Special mentions: carne asada, egg and bacon breakfast tacos, and very nice kids plates (huge hamburger and perfect chicken strips). The charro beans are the best I've ever had and could probably win best charro beans in the world they're that good (I think there's beer in the broth). I also love how they don't over salt the food - allows you to taste the great flavors. Service is on the slower side but what that kitchen produces is pure deliciousness and very fresh hot food. They present it very well too. The not so good: a manager lady walked in as we were finishing our meal and the restaurant was picking up (she was wearing a tennis skirt and running club shirt). She immediately appeared very annoyed and scolded both the hostess and our waiter two different times for seating us in a table larger than we needed (we are a family of 4 with 2 toddlers - when we arrived 40mins earlier there were only two couples eating in the entire restaurant so I asked for a larger table to have more room and less toddler accidents). She pointed at our table twice visibly annoyed that we took a larger table and was trying to bus nearby tables left dirty from previous patrons so she could combine them to accommodate a larger party (I think they were understaffed so tables not cleaned timely). It's one thing to coach your staff but I found it disrespectful to do it in such a "scowling" way in earshot from me, my husband, and another table to hear. I felt embarrassed to be there but more so I felt bad for the two employees she verbally scolded in front of patrons. You cannot keep good people (customers or employees) treating them like that. I'm hoping it was just a bad day and moment of frustration. We really hoped this could be our regular spot given it's a smaller local non chain restaurant but today we felt very uncomfortable. My lesson learned is don't ask for a larger table - ever.

#AROMAMEXICANKITCHEN Ideally located, plenty of parking, and the interior design is very colorful, artistic, and extremely clean (especially restrooms). Upbeat Mexican music plays throughout, and Aroma's owner is absolutely a lovely person. If you want traditional Mexican cuisine and outstanding flavorful cocktails...this is DEFINITELY the place for you! Thank You Aroma Mexican Artisan Kitchen!

Meeting my family here today because they know the owner and they highly recommended it. The atmosphere is lovely, the restaurant is located in a peaceful and high end plaza, and I am happy I am here evading the rain. I highly recommend! This business needs more people to know about it. When the server sat me down he let me know that in sharing a review with "#AROMAMEXICANKITCHEN" you receive a complimentary "Jarito Margarita." Come by and enjoy!

We came in tonight for dinner. It was really tasty! Service was great thanks to Zay! Food came out quickly and was very hot. Husband got the chicken fajitas for one. Daughter ordered the enchiladas Suiza. And I got the carnitas plate. All were happy with their choices. So much food we had enough to take home for leftovers.

This place is amazing!!! Come here and you will be so glad you did. This is a family restaurant and they are very kind. They have cute decorations and a purse hook, so you don't have to put it on the chair or floor. We came in with a party of 9 and was seated immediately. Drink orders came and we all ordered items varied from salads to tocos to breakfast items. What I do recommend is the salads, anything with beans, and the tacos!

We've been here a couple of times now and both times we were impressed with the polite and friendly staff! Our bartender was great and the drinks were yummy! Both times we had several of the small plates during happy hour. Oh my goodness... the street corn was my favorite, but everything was fabulous! If you haven't tried this gem out, you should!

First time here and it quite the drive from our house. This place did not disappoint. Food was very good and had so much flavor. We had the happy hour menu which are small portions but gives enough pinch. The staff is very nice and attentive. We will be back to try the drink specials and brunch. Highly recommend.

Love the nachos and has a great atmosphere. The staff is very attentive and it's relatively close to my house so it's a short drive away.

I've had this place on my list for over 2 years and right down the street. The time I went here they were closed early during covid. $4 margaritas all day everyday too! You can tell a tex mex/ Mexican restaurant will be good based on their salsa. Super good! I also am looking for the best fish tacos still and had to go for it. $15 for fish taco plate with a good portion given and rice/beans. Super good! Still not my favorite but high on my list. My parents ordered the mix fajitas that were served in this clay pot deal that was one of the most interesting I have seen. I will share a pic since it is hard to describe. Altogether a great family environment, beautiful paintings and not too crowded. Just the way I like it. I highly recommend for family environment near the cypress area. Plus, $4 margs!! You can't go wrong.

As a Mexican, this place is a disgrace to Mexican food. The fajitas were tough and over cooked, the rice tasted like it came from a microwaveable rice packet, the beans lacked flavor, everything was terrible. I don't recommend eating here.

Good service, generous portions, but the food is just subpar. There are too many good Mexican restaurants in the area to waste your time at this place. The people were nice, but the food needs to improve. There were four people in my party and all were disappointed. None of us plan to return

Came here for the first time for brunch and it was great!!! Drinks are on point and so was the food!!! Clean place and each food presentation was awesome! Great food does take a while to make especially if it is fresh! Some of yalls reviews make me chuckle. Such Karens. I'll definitely be back.

Brought my family here for Sunday lunch. Terrible experience that unfortunately leads me to update my review to one star. Sloooooowww service. They literally took 30 minutes to get us our food. They weren't that busy, maybe 3 tables with people in them. We sat there just looking and waiting, my kids were super antsy. No kidding, at least 30 minutes until our food got to us. I could have made quesadillas much faster at home. They need to either hire more kitchen staff or have a more streamlined approach for getting food out faster. I understand it's made from scratch, but that wait time was ridiculous and a turn off. Also, we were automatically charged 15% gratuity on our bill. We had 4 adults and 2 toddlers and a terrible service. The waiter was wearing an iPod ear piece the whole time and not very serviceable - got one of the orders wrong, wasn't attentive. We had to flag him down and even stand up to get his attention. So if you are going to force gratuity train your staff to a higher service level. We asked for kids plates to come out first (because again food took forever) and he brought out one of the adult meals with no explanation while the rest of us waited and waited some more. While the taste of food is delicious, the service was the worst.
