I am sure the original location is better but their food truck at Wildcatter's is terrible. $21 for small burger no fires, salted to no end and $42 for three ribs and 1/2 pound of brisket. again no sides. okay, you would think, and its true, when you have few drinks you just hunger and could eat just about anything. Could not eat the brisket it was tuff, like leather. The only thing that did not go into the trash was the ribs.
so three little ribs cost $62... nope never again. horrible.

I'm a barbecue brisket snob and this by far is the best barbecue brisket I have ever tasted. Mr Brooks shared with me today that he has a second location at the wildcatter's saloon in Katy TX. Now my friends in Katy can experience Brooks Place Bar BQ.
This was our first time here and we will definitely be back. The brisket and burnt ends were the best we have ever had and the green beans are like no others. I don’t know why anyone would go to a chain barbecue place.

If I could give this place no stars I would . I was so disappointed being that I had been waiting a while to try this spot out. I was off work early today so I ran in to Ace to handle a few thing then went right over to the bbq truck, From the moment I walked up I should have known the energy was off I am assuming this gentleman was the owner he was very dry when I spoke it was as if he really didn't want to be bothered ,so anyways I went ahead and decided to order. Something in my gut told me by the verbiage on their menu sign I was finna be dealing with a smart mouth and I should not eat here ,but hell I'm all about supporting black owned place. So I went ahead and ordered. When I tell u I drove off and being to eat my sandwich I was so hungry I was like this meat was not even warm bread was cold and all I was like well ill just heat it up when I get home then I said so I'm not gonna do all that and I just literally pulled off it should still be hot. So I pulled back up told the gentleman I was not happy with my sandwich. I told him let me give you this sandwich and you touch the meat he then said I can't take that back I said ok. Then he asked so where is the food I said in my truck, he said ok give it to me I told him oh I thought you just said you can't take it back he then told me to put it in the trash . I bet all the tea in China he went to the trash after I left to go see what was in the bag. I will also be checking back again tomorrow or the next two days to see if I was fully refunded. OH I FORGOT HE TOLD ME MAYBE THE MEAT WAS COLD CUZ HIS CUTTING BOARD WAS COLD ??♀️ I can't make this up!!!! THEN WHEN I TOLD HIM I do believe in givingReviews he said "YEAH LIKE THE TYPICAL BLACK PPL DO" what ever the hell that was supposedto mean I swear this man was a black racist himself. STAY AWAY THE FOOD IS COLD AND NOT UP TO PAR!!! Sever cold chopped beef!!!

We purchased a whole brisket. It was delicious, juicy, and has a great bark. Worth every penny! We also purchased the scrumptious brisket fried rice, and delicious potatoe salad. Mr. Brooks and his staff provide exceptional customer service. He is genuinely a good man and good human.
I’m not even sure where to start on the all around amazing that is Brooks’ Place. When you pull into the parking lot, you’ll immediately smell that good bbq smell. All the food I’ve tried there is absolutely delicious. The brisket fried rice is unique and simply outstanding. The brisket has always been on point. The sausage is one of my absolute favorites. I’m a self declared Texas bbq snob and Brooks’ Place definitely ranks in my top Texas bbq joints. The food speaks for itself, but the owner, Mr. Brooks, is also a genuine, kind, and humble man. Go check it out! I promise you won’t be disappointed!

Be prepared when you go, you will be greeted most likely by the owner. He will introduce you to some very tasty barbecue. You can eat lunch or dinner outside or take your food home to go.It’s just not your normal barbecue. He has the perfect char on that brisket. Everything is made at his location and you can truly tell it’s made with love.I truly recommend you just driving by and grabbing some good food and taking it home
Brooks BBQ is one of those places where every meal is better than the one before it. From the tastiest brisket and ribs to the delicious sides you can’t go wrong. Trent has perfected his craft! Not to mention he’s one hell of a guy! Highly recommend!

Best BBQ in Cypress ? Runs out of a food truck in front of Ace Hardware, got a drive-thru so you can just pull up and order in your truck. 10/10 !!!
